This gal is freaking awesome. I am brazilian and I can hardly notice the foreign accent in her portuguese. I dare say she even got some of the "mojo", of the laidbackness that distinguishes brazilian portuguese from Portugal's, for instance. The first time I heard some of her stuff I thought she was daughter to people from Brazil or something like that. Plus, she's an incredible instrumentist, sings beautifully and OMG, she got rhythm.

Oh my god this is amazing. At first I could not notice an accent, only slightly sometimes she sounds a little more nasal than Portuguese asks for. Although she is singing and that is different than speaking, I have never heard someone do it this well! Not to mention, BRILLIANT version.

perfect accent, i'm impressed. in her wikipedia page it says she's "able to sing in portuguese" but to sing like that she must speak fluently, no way. i've been living in England for 4 years and won't ever get an accent in English like the one she has in (brazilian) portuguese, i'm sure.

@fernandacurti She's also of Spanish ancestry. Her Spanish/Welsh/Native American mother taught her Spanish from an early age, and Portuguese is closely related to Spanish. She's also interested in Brazilian culture. I have to know my future's wife's background, you know.
