Kino no Tabi Opening

Well, Mushishi and Kino's Journey are completely different. Well, they're both SoL about a traveler but just the aura they emit is completely different

While Kino's Journey is more philosophical and has this mysterious aura, Mushishi on the other hand is more calm and soothing. It isn't deep at all, it's SoL at it's finest.

Though the last reaction posted here was 2 years ago so I don't know why I even bother...

Although I'm a big fan of kino no tabi, I too, could not finish mushishi. I watched up to disc 2 but could not stand anymore. I feel kind of bad because I usually enjoy slower-paced, thought-provoking anime and wish they'd make more.

They both have their major differences, although being apart of the general same genre. Heh, don't feel a little bad, at least you're being honest with yourself and not forcing yourself to watch an anime you don't like. :D

yeh I can't get past episode3 on mushishi. Kino's Journey is one of a kind that's for sure. I don't really see how Mushishi is deep. It didn't really interest me very much. Kino's Journey is amazing though. i love my DVD box set for this! Looks so cool!

I like KnT, a lot.

And a year ago, or more, or some time ago at least; I attempted watching Mushishi, and I hated it.

I Watched 3 or 4 episodes of it, and could not continue on with the series... it just felt totally unwatchable.

Why exactly I thought it sucked, that I don't remember... I just remember that it was really, really baaaaad, so bad that I had to stop watching it... for whatever reason.

I never judge an anime based on the animation, and nor do I remember the animation as being bad or anything... so, maybe it was just the form or manner in which the series was presented, the concept and overall feel that I did not like. Or maybe it was the characters. Don't really know.

Ah, that's understandable. The concept is a tad odd, going out there a little. I'm really diverse with a lot of things, especially the anime I watch, so yeah.

If you enjoyed this anime I'd recommend Mushishi to you. Mushishi is pretty much the same thing but more spiritual and much prettier.

This anime is highly enjoyable and always leaves you wanting more. I watched it on anime network, and I couldnt help but watch each episode more than once. It's amazing I love Hermes's Ignorance sometimes, and Kino;s Wisdom. This is my Second Favorite anime of all time

Jus finished this one up. It was very enjoyable. One of those Psychological/Philosophical ones that made me think and not just say "Huh?" at the end of each episode. Gotta put this anime as one of my all time favorites now. Oh and the Opening and ending themes were great too.

Kino's Journey is a wonderful adventure anime same with Mushishi, its sickening when high caliber anime like this aren't more popular when you have trash like Naruto Shipuuden floating around degrading the impression of Japanese animation to the world...
