Push through, Atreus. Everlasting Man has to be one of the towering works of all time. It might also help if you can get your hands on Virgil's Aeneid. Having read that will give you more insight into some of what Chesterton talks about when he discusses Rome: the pinnacle of human achievement.
Wow thats amazing I am a relative of GK he is something like my great-great uncle my name is Richard Chesterton I grew up in Essex, England, its wierd seeing a relative Ive never mets grave! Wow, that's amazing you are a relative of GK. I hope you appreciate how many people this wonderful man affected. It was the power of his intellect and perception that words were penned. My father and my grand father read him and quoted him. He will never go out of style becuase he was above style all together.
Many thanks for posting this and reminding us that Chesterton has fans all over the world. Also, Chesterton fans will be happy to learn that Cecil Chesterton's 1908 biography of his brother is now back in print after almost a century. The American Chesterton Society should have copies by the end of the first week in September, 2007.
Good thing! I'm the president of Italian Chesterton Society, and I want to thank you for uloading this video, because we can see this place where is buried one of the best gift we had in our life, Gilbert.
Congratulations on making that trip! What language is that narration in, anyway? You can see some old newsreel footage of GKC in the online archive of British Pathe newsreels.

Also be sure to read James V. Schall, particularly his Another Sort of Learning. Schall has much to say about Chesterton.

Orthodoxy is absolutely enlightening. I wish The Everlasting Man was as easy to read.

It's a shame that writers like Chesterton and George MacDonald are unheard of by most people nowadays.
