thanks so much for the tutorial, I bought magix pro 14 plus when it first came out, and love it!! over the years I've used numerous editing programs and always seem to get drawn back to pro 14 plus....I'm in pre-production of a ghost/horror film, and when edit time rolls around I'll definitely be using this effect and Magix Movie Pro 14 Plus. thanks again, and keep up the excellent tutorials

Two important points: When filming, ensure there is no breeze to russle the leaves on the tree else the join will be visible. Similarly, film in such a way that the shadow falls on the side to which the person vanishes to avoid giveaway shadows on the opposite side.

Thanks Eric, this is a fantastic quick tutorial, would come in handy for editing warbirds video footage I have that I filmed, on a tripod, at our airshow... I'm thinking sepia footage of warbirds, appearing from nowhere, as ghost models lol....

One of the good things I read about Magix Is You know how You must have a masters degree In engineering to set the program at the highest resolution, Magix Is already default at the highest resolution

The menu system was changed in version 15. Size and position is under the effects tab at the top of the screen.

its in effects under movment effects. your probally looking at effects at the very top go to your media pool(i think thats what its called)

Click on export then select as single frame picture. I think you have to have the plus version to be able to do it, but not sure.

It would be very difficult to get rid of the shadow. The best option would be to shoot the video again.

That menu was removed in V15. Image size and position is under video effects now.
