No, this is MechWarrior Living Legends : A total mod conversion of Crysis turned into a very well made MechWarrior/Battletech game. Its fun. Still no official word on MechWarrior (3015/reboot/5) yet, although it is still in development. Most likely won't be out for some time.
@mwhighlander the japanese are hasslr'in them because the warhammer is supposedly ripped off version of a mech in macrosse.... :-( mw5 is halted til they deal with them :-\
so who knows when macrosse was first made? 1983 for mechwarrior (with the warhammer in it..like 99.99% of all the battletech franchise..
@Me102288 Bryan Ekman is a lead developer over at Piranha games, the company developing the New MechWarrior. You can look up his blog bryanekman()com. Russ Bullock THE president of Piranha Games himself has promised "Real news soon" on his twitter as of two weeks ago. I recommend following the both of them on Twitter -- or for ANY MechWarrior news/support/gaming just head over to Mektek()net.

Oh and for clarification on the MW5/MW Reboot/ MW3015, they all refer to the new MechWarrior being developed by Piranha games. The orignial MechWarrior 5 of 2004 was cancelled by Microsoft in replacement of MechAssualt (the bane of the franchise) simply because M$ believed it could make a larger profit off an arcade rip-off.
@mwhighlander Have they stopped developing the new Mechwarrior? they releasedd a trailer like 2 years ago and since then ive heard there was some legal issues concerning one of the mechs, and now i havnt heard anything, period. just curious...

Actually, two days ago Bryan Ekman (Lead Dev. at Piranha and the "new" MechWarrior) has just stated a few messages on Twitter saying that all pre-production for the new MechWarrior is complete and have just begun full progress on the game!!! A few key positions are still needed but the game is a go!
In other words, it is FAR from dead, they HAVE secured full funding, the game is RIGHT NOW in full production. If you want to keep up with it, join us at MekTek()net.

@vascoe86 Yeah, but I was in a rush to get out and get a kill with the LTA for the video and forgot. By the time I noticed, well, the round was almost over anyways.

Actually, Byan Ekman and Russ Bullock have both stated on twitter that development of the game is still underway and the legal suit is not an issue.
Also, the first Macross anime came out in 1982, so Macross may have been made as early as 1980.

@mwhighlander never heard of them, last I heard of the battletech franchise got bought by some company called wizards of th coast or something.
Truth is Battletech is the foundation of "mechwarrior" so I guess we'll just wait till onee or the other MW5/MW reboot..
I just noticed they both use the same trailer.. I honestly think there the same game and they havent truly decided what to name it :-\
