Having a father who adopted me that served in WWII and Korea, spent years as a POW one of the last in fact (R.I.P.) this breaks my heart. Cops need to stop with the police brutality already and learn when to defend themselves. Unless the veteran had his hands around his neck there is no just cause. One can never touch another person without permission. It is assault and battery and the battered party is entitled to defend himself. The assaulting party then has few rights or defenses in the eyes of the law. The police officer is justified in doing what he did. The old fella should have known better, but probably felt entitled due to his age.

It's easy to monday morning QB the situation, especially when we sit on a computer and have time to be angry or pass judgement. However, real life is quicker than that and the first reaction can be the best or the worst. Having a father who adopted me that served in WWII and Korea, spent years as a POW one of the last in fact (R.I.P.) this breaks my heart. One can never touch another person without permission. It is assault and battery and the battered party is entitled to defend himself. The assaulting party then has few rights or defenses in the eyes of the law. The police officer is justified in doing what he did. The old fella should have known better, but probably felt entitled due to his age.

Being under the influence drugs or alcohol makes a suspect more dangerous, because they don't feel pain as much, so keep their actions up. This man parked in a no park zone and knew it. Tow is proper. You don't touch cops, everyone knows that, but this man choose to get drunk enough to do that too. He was lawless and on three counts and took his chances. The officer tossed him to take him out of harm for himself and the suspect. This was caused by suspects poor choices not cop brutality.
