My hair is a bit layered and fine and about 4 inches past my shoulder and when I do this the plait it ends up really thin at the ends :(

I know how to do a basic french braid (my mother used to love wearing them, and taught me), but I wanted to know exactly how to make my pin-straight hair wavy like you had it at the beginning of the "faux bob for medium hair" video.

I copied this video and did an intricate version of a french plait (you're right, it hurts!) after showering, before bed. I took it out before work, my hair was so wavy! Everybody complimented it all day, thank you! I love your videos, can't wait to try more :)

@MagicalKnight1 yeah, you shouldn't keep it *too* tight, or it won't look good. what I do, I just stop braiding every once in a while and pull some sections back to re-gain some volume, especially in the front! you don't have to bring your bangs up if it doesn't look good - leaving them down is perfectly fine! :)

@paulinissha I speak 6 langauges, and each of them I had to learn while living in a country where people spoke only that language... so it was somewhat "forced" and came almost naturally. I guess only English I had to learn "on distance" as I never lived neither in US nor UK :) by the way, I totally love Spanish and I can understand a lot of it, I just wish I could also speak some! :) greetings from France and many hugs!

@andreaikza oh I know, it's not the easiest hairstyle at all!... it's just for those who're *really* determined to self-french-braid, haha.... By the way, when your hands start hurting, you can bring (direct) your elbows down for a couple of seconds, and the pain will go away! that's what I always do :) hugs PS. I looove spanish... I do understand it pretty well as it's similar to italian that I do speak... I just wish I could write in spanish too! :)

@casagrandecats yeah, I have a kind of figured it out and made another tutorial on the inside out french braid, all from behind. if you're interested, you can check it out on my channel page. it's pretty much the same technique that the normal french braid, the only difference is that you bring left and right strands *over* and not *under* the middle strand. cheers

actually lara has 3 braids comming from near the face. Angelina asked if Lara could hav a mohawk, so the styling ppl added it to the braids, which is not really a mohawk, but looks really cool

@rollerdog369 thanks! :) it's 3 pieces, you just start from these 3 peaces and then bring the left one over the middle one (so that this peace goes in the middle and the one that was in the middle goes to the left) and next do the identical thing on the other side - bring the rightmost section over the middle one merging it with some hair from the side too.... the smaller are the section, the better is the result... :)
