But the one that makes me feel bad for Mezger was the Arona fight. It was waaaaayyy too clear who was winning in that one.

It was all too obvious this boxer couldn't take any kicks and even admitted on sherdog the kicks got to him , and he had no ground game . I know some boxers have been able to adapt to kicks and get a ground game going to some point against limited competition like Butterbean and Jeremy Williams . Butterbean has sucked in his last few fights , but I give Williams a chance against the better competition ,only I think he retired .

@double42 I remember reading in that interview that he (Rubin) had actually been training in grappling (although for very little). What I've always thought is hilarious is that he said that in the stand up, he could beat anyone in MMA, yet he couldn't take Saku's kicks. Boxers (and non-boxers) generally dismiss kicks as useless, and as something that only belongs in movie-land. Well this one got a taste of not just kicks - but professional fighter kicks (and Saku is not a striker).
