SOLUTION:machine should print the vote on a receipt immidiately after voting. Voting person would be able to see the receipt for few seconds through the protective glass. After 3 seconds the paper would roll hiding the last vote. That would leave a physical evidence which is controlable during the voting process and after the voting day.
Democracy is as good as the election process. From the candidates funding to the laws pertaining to the allocation of votes to the candidates (electoral colleges, voting machines, etc.)
If only 25% of the population elects the president, and the voting can be rigged - who does he represents?

they run WinCE of course you can hack them and they are susceptible to viruses.
windows has architectural security problems that can only be fixed by a total rewrite and redesign from the file system up.
