My husband knew how ill I was when he asked me to marry him, of course, we had known one another as teenagers and loved each other then, but he had joined the army and was sent to Korea. We tried writing letters, but I ultimately ended up being an idiot and deciding that I couldn't wait for him, and I married someone else who ended up being incredibly abusive. @tslu1970 he ended up divorcing me after 10 years of marriage due to my illness. It all turned out to be a blessing though because, for the first time in my life, I know what truly being in love is all about. ;)
