In their position, I would've replaced that

the price, or if they were both automaticly

And now we know that in fact the $3,000 cash bonus for the Superball was indeed explained when this game was first played. Notice when the first perfect win happened in 1992 (the clip is here somewhere) Bob said he was explaining something that he never explained before. And now we know even THAT was inaccurate! :p
