I love piercings. The only ones I dislike ate nose ones. I like them a lot if it's one sweet thing on the side of the nose, but those ones that make folks look like cows very much turn me off, infact in my opinion, they are gross! I've many piercings myself, 2 facial, (we won't count ears) and three 'down below', so it is not that I am against them. Your lip is awesome! :)

@TheIloveyoutue actually, it doesn' hurt at all. it's just a slight pinch when she punctures it through, and that's it. but when you first get it they usually give you a longer one so it allows it to swell without a lot of pressure. and because the first one is so long, it's kinda hard to eat, and basically do anything with your mouth for about a week (i know that statement was a little odd.xD) but, after that you forget it's even there.(: it's kind of a big responsibility but, totally worth it.

i peirced my lip twice by myself, nothing bad happened XD second time i hit a vein though. only side effect of that was a bit of bleeding and bruising on the inside of my lip, the bruise went away in like a day lol

And its a VERY bad idea to pierce your lip, tounge, top ear, ect yourself.

Because, if you do pierce your lip in the wrong spot and acidentally hit a vein then you could bleed ALOT and get a REALLY bad infection, and your upper ear, my friend actually has a REALLY big Boil on her ear because she pieced it herself and had no idea how to properly do it. So you see, its a Much smarter idea to go to the professionals. :)

@EmmaIsBoomting to awnser your questions, it dosent hurt all that much its just a pinch, you can still drink and eat whatever you want, just stay away from alcohol cause it will sting like a bitch! it only takes about 10 minutes for them to pierce it for you,you can change it after about 2 weeks, but youl need to take really good care of it,yes you can still speak properly,and they give you all the supplies you need, it wont but you will need to buy more, and don't be scared. hope that helps!
