  • Its sad, the next generation doesn't even know about Columbine, or even care to find out.

  • amazing.. <3

  • the two people who unliked this have no taste in music

  • I love this version

  • 2 ppl who dislikes this dont beleave in god

  • what are the lyrics for this song!!!

  • Oh my God. This is Beautiful. <3

  • She is going to be such a good mom in Feb!

  • I love this song, it's so... there are no words invented yet for how great and passionate this song is

  • Wow...I can't stop playing this song.

  • she made this sadder than the original version :'(

  • these lyrics aren't the original, am i right?

  • was "Cassie" really her sister :'(

  • @AngieKitteh No it's about the Columbine shooting

  • @AngieKitteh no, don't worry :) she has got sisters but no of them were named cassie, this song is about a girl who got shot but it wasnt her sister

  • @AngieKitteh No :/

it was girl who died because of her religion supposably

she was shot because the guy asked her "do you believe in god?"

There's lots of diagreement if that actaully how it happened

If it's a hoax or not

But that's what the song is about

  • @AngieKitteh she considers her her sister because we are all children of god

  • This one is interesting, I was expecting screamo and different lyrics, but I enjoyed this too

  • fuckin great <3

  • Y does Lacey always seem so sleepy?

  • @RENAxoxoxoxo its based on a girl named Cassie Bernall that was killed in the columbine shooting after beings asked if she believed in God

  • This is perfection.

  • i am obsessively in love with this song <3

    its so meaningful and beautiful

    sends shivers down my spine

  • "inspired in their foot steps, we will march ahead.Don't be shocked that people die, be surprized your still alive"

  • Anybody else get shivers?

  • @JiynxRock

    me :)

  • i prefer this version then the other one.

  • is this based on a true story? Maybe on a sister of hers?

  • @XDMERELXD

It happened to Cassie Bernall (and Rachel *sorry forgot her last name*) at the Columbine Shootings..

2 boys asked her if she believed in God while pointing a gun to her head. She said yes, and they shot her. She immediately died.

They also asked Rachel, the same question, and the same way. She also said yes, and she got shot too, but she didn't die. Then the 2 boys asked her; "Do you still believe in God?" And again she said yes, and got shot again. Then she died.

  • i love the way she looks straight at us @2:25 ... love them to death <3

  • this is amazing..

  • How come "Cassie" the acoustic version in different from "Cassie" the rock version? This is still a great song though, i was just wondering!

  • @123SuperFreak456 Yea, I waz just wondering the same thing!

  • stupid question here...

is that a tattoo on her chest or is it just the shirt :p

  • @Cm180247 haha its the shirt

  • her voice give me chills....God bless her. She keeps me looking up♥

  • Actually there were two girls who said yes to the question, Cassie and Rachel. Rachel didn't die from the first shot so they asked her again and got the answer of yes from her twice. This song is in reference to Columbine high school shooting.

  • There is a dispute about whether it was Cassie or Valeen that said yes to that question. Eye witnesses place that it was Valeen who said yes to the question.

  • gorrearon de wasted years melodia

  • Could you please give me a link to download this version of the song? I'd be incredibly grateful. (:

  • @demonchibi These acoustic version videos r on their first Cd.

  • It feels so completely different from the original. I felt impacted during that one, I cried during this one.

  • this is my favouite song ever! the acoustic version is better

  • Comment removed

  • Why did they put Rachel into this song if she wasn't a martyr?

  • @RaeXsims because she wass asked the question too. and what is a matyr btw?

  • @RhiiiaNnOnXx I dont think she was asked the question at all. She was just the first victim.

And a Martyr is a person who dies for their faith/religion.

  • @RaeXsims ooooooooohhhhhh ok lol

  • @RaeXsims actually i think she was like the second \/ictim because i read that rachel was first

  • @RhiiiaNnOnXx I was on about Rachel..

Rachel was he first victim in the shooting. I don't think she was ever asked if she believed in God.

  • @RaeXsims ooohhhh i thought u were talking about Cassie yeah Rachel was first.

  • @RhiiiaNnOnXx Cassie was the 5th victim of the whole thing. 3rd victim of the library massacre.

  • @RememberMortality ohh. yeah.

  • i like this song in acoustic sounds better very nice...

  • Very good quality.

And I heard it was about a girl in the columbine.

    I don't know though?

  • they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. - Revelations 12:11 :)

  • love them <3

  • Thank you for this. Good quality :)

Love this Version of the Song.

  • I like how tuned out into the song she is when she sings. it shows that she really means what she's singing.

  • the lyrics are different.

    i really like this version.

can anyone post what they are?

  • this is soo different from the original......cool!

  • so butiful and words so true and changed my view of death

  • "don't be shocked that people die,

    be surprised, you're still alive."

  • i swear this is different from the normal one o.O truly beautiful though

  • Beautiful song.Beautiful voice.Beautiful Lacey.I'm in love.♥

Her songs mean everything to me,'cause they changed my live.

    Flyleaf's great.

And after a conversation with a friend and long time of thinking,I decided that I'd definitely say yes.I believe in god.

  • ii love this song and the meaning behind it BUT we must not forget that 11 other ppl died that day (not counting the killers, of course) and they were not Christian (possibly) ... remember that MONSTERS see no color, no age, and no faith, etc. - they just see the victim before them ... there were no right or wrong answers that day, so please stop believing that there were.

  • dont be shocked that people die be suprised your still alive.

    now thats deep.

  • @XxSLiNk3exX soo she pulled the trigger on herself? and y wood someone kill her if she sed yes?? just a random person ran up to her and killed her cuz she sed yes??

  • @linkinrockergurl17 no, there were two questions: Do you believe in god and do you want to die. One answer for both questions. Cassie said yes because she would rather die than go against her faith. At least, that's what i got from it. Hope I'm not wrong.

  • this song means so much to me

  • @XxSLiNk3exX

christians call other christians "sister" or "brother" though they are not related. It's in relation to all believers being children of God, despite biological bloodlines.

  • @Melaeka96 Correct.. we are descendants of Jesus... trough faith alone.. the idea that we are all family though Jesus comes from when he said.. who ever believes in me is my mother and my brother...

  • She really has the most beautiful voice..screamin or none.

  • Honestly, I would have said yes to believing in god.. I dont doubt my beliefs, even if it kills me D:

  • @OrfluffBayBay Same here

  • =D Me too

  • @OrfluffBayBay i wood 2 im strong wif beliefs

  • @OrfluffBayBay wow, i don't think i could. because i'm not sure i'd be going to heaven.

  • i like this version more than the regular one

  • i want to be able to download this version where can i get it?

  • ..took me a while to actually recognize it as "Cassie". Sounds a lot different from the other acoustic version and the actual recorded version. I have to say I like this one more though

  • i will say yes!!!

  • i'm sure that if faced with a gun almost none of you would say you believed in god or anything

  • That includes yourself, no? Many people aren't that brave, yes. I think that anyone who could say "yes" should be honoured with sticking by their beliefs.

  • i would say no because i don't believe in a god but if i did i'm sure that if a gun was pointed at me i'd still say no and by the way the thing theyre singing about didn't happen

  • I know very well that it did not happen. I am just saying anyone who truely has the guts to say "yes" in that situation should be honoured. Human hearts are fickle things.

  • very true

  • I would say yes. Truth to myself and my belief. Just like your truth to yourself and your belief.

  • it's easy to say that now in a safe house but if you had a gun to your head your answer might change. anyway since this never actually happened and i'm tired of talking about it just listen to the song and enjoy it

  • There's no matter if that fact was happened, what counts is the meaning of this song and generally if it wasn't cassie, surely there was someone else. There are so many people who suffered because they believed in God...The song is awesome and flyleaf have taught me so much about life!

  • Well said. Even if Cassie's martyrdom didn't happen, her Christian conversion itself, is inspirational.

Val Schnurr was one of the people asked that question in the library that day. She was shot before it happened, answered "Yes" and explained to Dylan why. Dylan, luckily for her, got distracted and she managed to crawk back to, for lack of a better word: shelter; a 4 foot by 6 foot wooden table. She confirmed this.

  • Well said.

Actually, the girl who was asked if she believed in the God was in the library -- not far from Cassie. She was confronted, shot and as she tried crawling to safety, she screamed "Oh my god! Oh my god! Don't let me die, don't let me die!". Dylan turned back her way and fired again. He was, fortunately for her, distracted by something and she crawled away, to, for lack of a better word, 'shelter': a 4x6 wooden table.

  • I'm not sure about Cassie, or how that went down but it's how Rachel Scott died.

  • I love this song, and the meaning behind it. Although, just to set records straight, apparently, Cassie was never asked the question. Eric Harris apparently said "peek-a-boo" and shot her. There are official documentations on this, if you'd like the link, send me a personal message.

But point aside, this song is amazing.

  • i say rest in peace cassie you died for what you beieved in i wish i had your curage. i feel kinda sad because the day cassie died is the same exact day my best friend simone was born so hopefully cassies soul is in simone now. simone is a cristan that has NEVER once used gods name in vain so i am happy to have her

  • This is amazing. "don't be shocked that people die, Be surprised your still alive"

  • best line in any song ever :)

  • ahaha consider me shot !! this version is amazing. so much faith

  • i love this song and the acoustic version makes it better

  • beauutiful qualityy sound:)

  • do you know that a girl named cassie acutaly died the same way this song goes. the killer pointed a gun to her and asked if she belived in god she said yes they pulled the triger. every year on april 20th cassies mother visits her grave

  • Yeah, that's why she wrote this song. It was a tribute to Collumbine.

  • @Theevilestangel97 the song is talking about her death

  • @Theevilestangel97 but im sure thats not the ONLY day she visits her grave. i lost a friend and her mother goes to her grave everyday.

  • @tubbytwin1 i didn't say it was the only day i just said every year on that day her mother goes. the story i read about it the end only said she goes on that day but it doesn't mean that i think she only goes on april 20th. i'm sorry if i made it seem like thats the only day. i don't want to be one of thoes people who starts fights over comments

  • @Theevilestangel97 that's what this song is about.

  • @RhiiiaNnOnXx i know i looked at the discription after i posted the comment. i have a habit of doing that i'm sorry!

  • @Theevilestangel97 That is true because it talks about the Columbine HighSchool shooting and it talks about a girl named Racel Scott and it doesnt talk about Cassie Burnall but April 20th was the day of the Columbine shooting and the shooters names were Eric and Dylan they had been students there but killed themselves after it all they didn't even wait for the cops to find them :O

  • @Theevilestangel97 uhm yeah that is the point of the song....its about Cassie Bernall and the Columbine shooting..

  • I love how it all sounds so different! Lacey reworded it! I love it, RIP Cassie, I will say YES!!!!!!!

  • one of the shooters asked cassie if she believed in god. when she said yes, they shot her.

"the question asked in order to save her life or take it

the answer no avoided death and yes would make it."

if she'd said no, they probably wouldn't have killed her, but knowing they'd shoot her, she still said yes.

  • @tayrex77 they still wouldve killed her

but they asked it to see if she was truly faithful or maybe to strike fear

kinda like a "do you really believe enough to not be scared that ive got a gun pointed at you."

she still woulda been shot, unfortunatly.

  • @tayrex77 even if she said no they would have killed her because the two shooters (eric and dylan) their goal was to kill as many people in the high school as possible, as said so in their journals

  • @DevilishGermanGirl Actually their goal was to kill the people who had tormented/made fun of them for the music they liked, THEIR religious views and so on...it was just unfortunate that it was such a large amount of people who did it. There were several students who were nice to them in school that Dylan and Eric told to leave when they seen them, and they even told some not to come to school that day.

  • @fataltears666 i didn't know that. thanks for clearing it up.

  • @tayrex77 actually this question never happened. the killer trapped under a table and shot her. though someone was asked that question but not her

  • @tayrex77 Kinda doubt she would rather die than say she didnt believe in god, ppl taking in way too srs, its a sad story really no doubt, but she didnt sacrifice herself for her believes i rly dont think, but thats just me

  • @Hellsaimed If you can't die for your beliefs, are they really worth believing??

  • Comment removed

  • dont be shocked that people die, be surprised you're still alive. wow! this warriors of god. i'd say yes right away.

  • Charmelic, where YOU?

Honey, they interviewed a girl who was hidding under the same table as Cassie and she told them, along with the others who were near by, that that is what happened. The reason Cassie's mom isn't getting shit is because she lost her child and the country had already made Cassie out to be a matyr {Sp}.

  • The "Do you believe in God?" never happened, you know >.>

Harris slapped the desk Cassie was under after she'd called out to God to save her, said "Peek-a-boo" and shot her.

  • Comment removed

  • actually this version of the song is about Lacey's sister that killed herself, I believe.

  • actually it is just about the two girls in columbine. she called cassie her sister but its actually no relationship there

  • She called Cassie her sister because she was her sister in Christ.

  • ...Um..yeah. thats..kinda general knowledge but thanks.. lol..

  • this made me cry its so sad

    this song has real meaning...

  • what a sad but inspiring story... I mean, wow... amazing

  • shes sooooo beautifuuuul!!!!! I LOVE HER!!!!

  • I love this version! The lyrics are great. Especially the part where she says "Don't be shocked that people die. Be surprised you're still alive." Thanks for posting this! :)

  • Thank you! The quality of this video is great and it's an awesome song!

  • Awsome !! (:

  • thanks for posting this =) and with a great quality :D
