But you have to remember that things do change, and that different types of metal are added to the genre as time goes on. Now I'm not defending Korn or Slipknot as for their genre. I like both bands, but I also like real metal, like Metallica, Tarot, Kataklysm, Blue Oyster Cult, CoB, etc. So there's a balance that needs to be found when confining a band to their genre. There's a lot of nuances in opinion.
