  • For all those who asked, YES, in the live version, Richard DOES knock the bottom out of that Eb1. And he actually sounds better on those two solos in the live version in my lifelong-Oak-Ridge-Boys-fan opinion (born in 1982, and one of my first words was "Elvira").

  • WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS BAND?! grrrr that guy in the gold suit must've been either high or drunk when he got dressed. I mean who wears gold suits (!?) when they go to "rock out" at a church? And my first reaction to the guy with the beard was WOAH! HOLY CRAP DUMBLEDORES COME BACK TO LIFE!!!!!! Either that or Santa lost a few pounds... Ps I wAs ready to KILL that bass guy or at the very least hit him with a heavy object. He sounds like my brothers farting trumpet! He needs to die in a h

  • hello. I can not understand the Brazilian music. Do any of you could post the letter of it,? ... please. just want the letter, as well of me to translate

  • GREAT VIDEO! SPECTACULAR SOUND!!! Excellent syncing job. Good addition to the Southern Gospel presence on youtube. Thanks. Were there any more Oakridge Boys cuts on the CD? Any idea whether or not the CD is still available?

  • just noticed there is a woman on the drums! she is pretty good

  • @bassman3294 Well, where would we be without women in the world?

  • @EnchiladaMan360 good point

  • gotta argue that. Tim Riley is #1 :) lol but to each his own

  • I never knew richard could get that low till I saw this video. My opinion he's the second greatest bass. George younce of course is #1!

  • YA dont forget the late great JD Sumner him and Richard use to sing with Elvis at one time i love both of there voices they are great Richard rocks clear and full hes all time great the Oak Ridge Boys my all time favorite of all times great singing guys !!

  • I think it's wonderful!

  • @dtheea ha ha what i forgot to mention is that i am a women. my sister says it is not feminine. i still think it is really funny

  • Richard is one of the best bass singers I have ever heard!.... He sounds really nice and he is cute too....

  • @dtheea amen--he gets better with age--all of them do! unfortunately when i was young i sang soprano in the high school chorus. now that i am in mys 50's i can sing almost a low as richard--just a funny thing i practice

  • if i was a sinner i will tell you what i would do--have them come and work on my building. i'm having some plumbing problems

  • I just luv this video/song/rendition. GREAT!!!

  • Does anybody know, did Richard go for the E flat in the live performance?

  • Fantastic!

  • Let them sing these men with their harmony make me want to shout.

  • I would like to see more videos like this one!!!!!!! GREAT WORK!!!!!!

  • Great! Love the Oaks, and they do this song great!

  • Richard Sterban is amazing. The guy in the gold jacket looks insane though

  • @obiwanda i totally agree :) lol

  • SonicDude87....If you've never seen The Oaks, you need too!!! I've seen them four times and each time I enjoy them. But, as a kid I remember seeing them on Sunday morning on the Gospel Jubilee, as well as the Statler Bros. Both or fantastic. The Oak Ridge Boys Rule!!!

  • I want to see them in concert but every time they come around I already had something I was doing that night. I'm keeping an eye of their website closely this year so I can keep my schedule clear.

  • The Oak Ridge Boys are awesome! I'd love to see them in concert!

  • Oh yes they ARE THAT GOOD live ! I've seen them problly close to 20 times and they are ........ WOW ! thats all I can say !

  • the oaks where told to be amazing live never had the chance to see thom tho

  • Did you take the recorded audio and put it to the live video? Or are they just THAT good live? Either way this is my new favorite song! :)

  • @JordanBeckworth Yes, I took the original studio audio and created a rough "music video" with it. That's why the applause sounds so cheap at the beginning. :)

  • Haha yeah because i heard this and the Studio version back to back and I was like, WOAH they are really good live or he used a recorded track. Haha. But either way its a great video. Keep doing what you do! :)

  • Btw, i did notice the applause thing. Haha i was like "Why are they clapping for so long?!" haha. :)

  • IDK, maybe there exsided to see them. LOL!!

  • Haha thats what i was thinking! :)

  • Very good video thanks for sharing.

  • The video quality is fine. The song quality is superb. The performance quality is magnificent. To be expected from ORB.

The one in the gold suit is Joe Bonsall.

  • what is the name of the man in the golden suit??

  • Love it.

    Thank you.

  • Awesome gospel. Memories from my youth,

  • They don't make 'em like they used to. What an amazing mix of voices, they blend perfectly.

  • dos anybody have amazeing grace by oak ridge boys i cant find it ?

  • AMEN TO THAT

  • WOW...Richard's voice has just gotten fuller and deeper over the years. One of the best bass singers ever in my opinion!

  • @bigmrclean I agree. When the Oaks first started Richard was still good, but it seems that his range has naturally gotten deeper and deeper over the years. He seems to be using less and less vocal fry to get down low. Now that is an already accomplished singer getting even more extraordinary due to God's blessing.

  • @EnchiladaMan360 Amen to that brother!

  • richard is amazing

  • I thought oak ridge boys had five guys huh

  • Richard got an amazing bass voice. There's not that many bass singers out there.

    Richard is my favorite Oak.

  • Gives you chills, Don't it?

  • this video is awesome.i like the one that has a deep voice.

  • I have to say, sterban impresses me more than any other living bassist at the time (tim riley a close second)but honestly this man knocks the bottom out of every note. I have not heard a song by these men that Sterban did not stand out. Even if it didn't feature him! He finds a way to RUMBLE thro.

  • I also liked Sterban at 3:07-3:12...Rewa-wa-wa-wa-waaaaaaarrrd!

Awesome ending. I believe that last note by Sterban was a low E-flat, just an octave above the double low E-flat after the second chorus.

  • true

  • Is Joe the lead or the tenor?

  • He's the tenor. Duane is the lead.

I do love Joe's voice. A very strong tenor voice.

  • I agree with you. Back when he helped elvis out with the stamps and JD he was not near this good. Richard is one of my favorite bass singers! MAN! He can flat rumble the walls!

  • The older Sterban gets the better he sings. He'smore consistant in his tone and ability to get way down there. I've been an Oaks fan for a very long time and I appreciate the way the boys have grown, their singing is better now than ever. This song is proof. Loe is mellower and not a screecher any more, and Richard is amazing..

  • Richard Sterban is one of the few American Basso Profundos. That Eb is SICK.

  • Best Bass in this time

  • Richard Sterban is one of my favorite bass singers...that E-flat @ 2:18-2:19 was incredible!

    5/5 and favorited! :)

  • hey man good job on lining up the video and the audio

  • Excellent! lip sync or not.

  • Richard Sterban is such a great Southern Gospel Bass Singer!!! I love his "Work On The Building To"!! God, he has one deep voice!

  • wow... I heard a REALLY low E-flat by Richard Sterban...

  • That's a wonderful song with a great arrangement. I would like to hear the original audio.

  • can u post the live version of this

Does Richard hit the low notes like he did in this???

  • Too bad it;s playback. Sound exactly like the cd (instuments and the oaks). Richard sounds to bassy. But nice video. More Please...

  • Haha. You noticed!! I replaced the audio with the CD track because the audio on the VHS I had wasn't that great (bad transfer).

  • But do they sing live on your VHS? If it's so, I wonder how richard sings the low notes.

  • i was just about to say, i was like that is really close to the cd version, and on the end joe went up on that high note with no ease, he cant really do it that easily lol

  • @rockytenorbanjo Richard Sterban sounds too bassy? That's funny
