In regards to the AverMedia/Happauge thing: from what I understand, the Happauge will allow you to stream, while the AverMedia does not, since it doesn't have passthrough.

@rpglover101 Actually the AverMedia DOES have passthrough. In fact, it doesn't even have to be turned on to have the game pass through it where as the Hauppauge does.

@ZGRWhyUDead I'm talking about passthrough through USB, to, say, a computer. As far as I know, you can't use a program on a computer to capture what's coming through on a computer, and so you can't use it to stream. I just chose the wrong word, I guess. My AverMedia is sitting proudly on my desk right here. :)

Hey ZGR, thanks heaps for this series. I've really been wanting to see a Let's Play of Dark Souls from one of my more favourable youtubers.

I'm just wondering, what is a good class to use. I've done pyromancer, but I don't know what to go as next. How robust is the magic system for the sorcerer? Is there a lot of variety / excitement, or should I got as the rogue/ thief or a knight/ bandit?

They're porting Dark Souls for a PC release, too bad that they aren't doing the same with Demon's Soul's, as a pure PC gamer and being very much into RPG's I find it to be quite unfortunate, still, Dark Souls is better than nothing at all. Dark Souls is still a fairly hardcore RPG, and it does look very intriguing, I am most certainly looking forward for its PC release, and still have hopes of seeing a port of Demon's Soul's in the future. I quite liked the video, but I shan't spoil myself more.

A playthhrough of a game like Dark Souls could be a little tricky because of the auto save feature. Yyou cannot practice and perhaps keep your best performance from one save point to the next. (at least that's how I make my own playthroughs) But I'm sure that you can make a good playthrough anyway. Good luck!

i just started a new character after reaching Gwyn on NG+ with my first character. this time i'm going for a dex build with only 16 str, and 15 int. as a result, the game is fresh, and still provides challenges! the replay value of this game is amazing, considering it's an rpg. i can't wait to see how your sorcerer fairs!

Yeah...after i saw the speedrun of the game (the one that was shown on my youtube main site because you liked it) this is not all that impressive. But i will still watch your playthrough it. I don't have a console and the game seems to be really awesome, so why not watch it at least. ^_^
