Hi Mr, loved you bike, very interesting i want to build one, im not engeneer but i wonder if its possible to attach a generator at the opposite side of the back wheel, for recharging te batteries purpouse, so while the bike its running u can recharge the battery, its this possible?? in my theory with generator the bike should be able to run " for ever"... regards max

Without pedals what happens when you run out of voltage to power the rear wheel? I guess it is not so much a bicycle since if it kept the pedals you could recharge the battery with human energy. And get home after the lights go out on the battery...

@1Trueone55 a legs give 5O wh hour per hour,so u need to pedal hardly 1 hour for put back 5O watts and 5O wh is 5 km only

bcuz normaly it's use 1O w per 1 km , so if u pedal 1 hour , for make 5 km it's better to walk 1 hour at 5 km /H , so it's useless u can't create more energy and charge it with pedaling. u can only restore some watts in the hill , but u will never found an hill than u can do 1 hour without pedaling , or maybe it's 5 km of hil or himalaya , a break can give 0.3 wh ,just 3O m

Say you take a 10speed mountain bike, mount an electric motor and run a chain to one of the rear sprockets... then mount a car alternator, run another chain to another rear sprocket... then mount a battery, wire up your wiring and switches and what have ya. Alternator continuously recharges the battery. Please note, I've never built an electric bicycle before... Think my idea would work?

@Ebdan88 There are Hydrid Motocycles that look awsome and can run 4 hours in Japan I saw them they are really cool and can be charged up in 2 hours fullly while you park your bike.

Awsome fuftre bikes.. they do 140 KLM per hour tops which is enough for anyone.

Personally I get my stock from TNCSCOOTERS who are baced in the US, Unfortuantely At the moment they are low on stock because of the economic climate but have reassured us that they will be getting more stock soon. check out their store online and you can get an idea of prices ect. if you have any more questions about making an electric bike just leave me a comment and ill get back to you..
