@iRx8 You know nothing about cars. The CTS-V is barely slower in the 1/4 mile than the GT-R, and the GT-R is AWD with launch control, and it's a good 400lbs lighter. Also the CTS-V has an LS9 but not the same one as the ZR1. While the ZR1 is 638BHP the CTS-V is only 550BHP. As for autocross, the CTS-V is currently the fastest 4door sedan on the Nurburgring. What track does the GT-R beat the ZR1? The ZR1 is faster in every category except 0-60...You must be like 9 or something.

@Element7744 Most of the power? Incorrect. 200hp is a big difference. Without the shot that car would be running high 10s at best. Progressive helps even more because it gives a large advantage when the car needs it the most. This is a cool car but not impressive.
@Bmr4life No different from a 2 door challenger SRT8 running 9s. The # of doors don't matter. It's 4250lbs. The challenger is 4150lbs. both have bog motors. Also it's using the LS9 based motor, the same motor found in the ZR1..A supercharged 6.2L making 556hp stock. so adding a 200 shot pretty much puts this machine at 800hp. It better be running 9s. No amount of skill or large amount labour went into making this car run what it does. So educate yourself then you get a life and wake the hell up.
@natev6 Not quite a LS9 motor. The new V has the LSA motor in it. It is a 6.2litre 556hp...but please do not confuse the LS9 with the LSA....quite different. The LS9 has a bigger 2.3 liter blower on it while the LSA only has a 1.9 liter blower on it. Still badass though.

@natev6 They are quite different. Different heads, different intake, different block design, different internals...that would be quite different. The LS1 ans LS3 atleast share some similarities. The LS9 and LSA only share displacement. So yes they are quite different. Maybe you should do some research before posting false information.
@natev6 To run 9s in a 4200lbs car, you'd have to be making over 1000hp, which this car makes. Dyno sheet for this car was damn near 900hp at the WHEELS. Taking into account the drivetrain % loss, this CTS-V makes ~1100hp. He's got a page on DragTimes that shows whats been done. its got some work to it, and don't try to discredit a 9 second run. Its ridiculously quick.

$63k sticker price with $11k for exhaust, cam, head and blower work is faster and still cheaper than the $84k sticker price on the GTR. Go back to third grade math lessons for more help. The V owner can also put it in Competition Mode without having a dealer to service after. E-morons are my pet peeve. You should spend a few minutes researching before typing.

You can buy an old civic hatch and spend $20k and it'll shit on this car. $25,000 vs $74,000 No who looks stupid. There is a $20k difference between the two cars but the GTR is capable of far greater things than the CTS V will ever achieve. Can the CTS V one up the Bugatti veyron? Didn't think so.

@CanexicanEvo9MR no- you are right, this car put down 865/850 with a 200 progressive shot. Although, the 700HP package is all that is needed to beat the GTR and still stay under the GTR stock sticker price.

You commented on this video which is a CTS-V running a 9 second pass and the GTR swallowers are saying that a GTR can beat the CTS-V in the 1/4. Where did I mention anything about a road track. I have ran a road track with my car. And I do know that until the 2012 GTR came, it was incapable of beating a CTS-V around any TRACK!

@patsfan922 Obviously the insult of the year award goes to you. How can a RWD Heavy sedan beat a perfectly balanced, AWD track monster that was designed for the track? Just look up track times for the GTR and the CTS-V. In case you didn't know, you share the same SC engine has the ZR1 Corvette, only difference is about 2,000 lbs lighter, shorter wheelbase, and yet the GTR still beats the ZR1 on a track. So keep dreaming buddy. You and I both know you don't autocross your Cadillac.

@iRx8 You know nothing about cars. The CTS-V is barely slower in the 1/4 mile than the GT-R, and the GT-R is AWD with launch control, and it's a good 400lbs lighter. Also the CTS-V has an LS9 but not the same one as the ZR1. While the ZR1 is 638BHP the CTS-V is only 550BHP. As for autocross, the CTS-V is currently the fastest 4door sedan on the Nurburgring. What track does the GT-R beat the ZR1? The ZR1 is faster in every category except 0-60...You must be like 9 or something.

@Element7744 Most of the power? Incorrect. 200hp is a big difference. Without the shot that car would be running high 10s at best. Progressive helps even more because it gives a large advantage when the car needs it the most. This is a cool car but not impressive.

@Bmr4life No different from a 2 door challenger SRT8 running 9s. The # of doors don't matter. It's 4250lbs. The challenger is 4150lbs. both have bog motors. Also it's using the LS9 based motor, the same motor found in the ZR1..A supercharged 6.2L making 556hp stock. so adding a 200 shot pretty much puts this machine at 800hp. It better be running 9s. No amount of skill or large amount labour went into making this car run what it does. So educate yourself then you get a life and wake the hell up.

@natev6 Not quite a LS9 motor. The new V has the LSA motor in it. It is a 6.2litre 556hp...but please do not confuse the LS9 with the LSA....quite different. The LS9 has a bigger 2.3 liter blower on it while the LSA only has a 1.9 liter blower on it. Still badass though.

@natev6 They are quite different. Different heads, different intake, different block design, different internals...that would be quite different. The LS1 ans LS3 atleast share some similarities. The LS9 and LSA only share displacement. So yes they are quite different. Maybe you should do some research before posting false information.

@natev6 To run 9s in a 4200lbs car, you'd have to be making over 1000hp, which this car makes. Dyno sheet for this car was damn near 900hp at the WHEELS. Taking into account the drivetrain % loss, this CTS-V makes ~1100hp. He's got a page on DragTimes that shows whats been done. its got some work to it, and don't try to discredit a 9 second run. Its ridiculously quick.
