No matter how good of an actor you get in a role, you need to try and play it truthfully. I know this is twice as hard being a musical, and I've done many myself enjoying straight plays better, but not putting forth the same characterization in your song as in your straight lines blows the cover and we lose the performance you set out to create. This seems to have been directed and choreographed relatively smartly based on talent, but the execution lacked for me.

This school did not do a very good job with this play, i think that their casting was off and all the leads could not sing! This song esp. they did not harmonize at all, hsm the play has such nice harmonizes but none of them were sung.... my school did this play and it was terrific, i wish it could be on you tube for everyone to enjoy

Sharpey isn't confident/stuck up enough here. Not only that but this performance should have been POLISHED, that's what makes the Ryan and Sharpey characters pathetic - they are good but over the top. You didn't rehearse enough, that's clear.

Not impressed by this staged performance. The singing is awful, and its nothing like sharpay and ryanm. And they couldnt act themselves out of a paper bag. I also think they have protrayed Ryan as too gay. Ryan was never intended to be full on camp. Sure he is camp in the real film, but not to that extent. He is also partially camp because he is a performing arts student, like me, and im film ryan camp. I admit it. How anyone would sign this group of actors up is unbelievable

I think they both have talent, but the boy ruins all the harmony. This song is simply a WORTHLESS song, and its made good by only the harmony, which the boy wasn't able to get.
