I usually just slam my door open as hard as I can until I can get in, then I turn sharp when I back out and rip the bumper off, crank the radio and drive off like nothing happened....happy trails asshole!

But I have to tell you it was so liberating when I took my 26" aluminum bat out and busted both tail lights out. I just didn't see the cop one row over looking right at me. Man, I live on a college campus and I swear NOBODY knows how to park here. Out in front of my dorm, you see at least 5 cars daily that idiots didn't park correctly. If I have to drive into a spot, back out, and even it up, I will. I could never leave my car like that.
You should have left a note, stating the reason that you smashed their headlights, is because they are inconsiderate bastards. Of course, you don't really do any damage to the vehicle, but the note may make them think twice when they park in the future.

That's what "door dings" are for. My friends and I do it to douche bags who park to close and don't give us room to get in our cars. It's in quotations because we don't really hit their car with our door. We do the same thing you did. But first we give their door a nice little tap with a tire iron.

Must be the same folks that leave the carts right in the middle of the last space, 2 spaces from the cart return!
