There are many different branches of the conservative tree. I am open to different cultures and new ideas, yet consider myself conservative because I believe in the merits of limited, constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, free markets, freedom of association and (whenever possible) empowering states and local communities.
Those that poo poo the Japanese traditional culture as dull or boring do not in any way understand it. The arts are sublime, esoteric, often tied to the multitude of Buddhist practices, whose practices require mindfulness, concentration and focus.
@zanewoody Why do you say that? there is really cool stuff about every people you just have to dig a little deeper or open you studies of western culture because there is alot of really cool stuff. Japanese culture is very cool too!!!
LISTENING TO THIS IS SO BREATH TAKING...MY MOTHER USE TO SING SO BEAUTIFULLY TO MY CHILDREN AND IT'S A SHAME THAT I CAN'T PASS IT DOWN...THE JAPANESE CULTURE IS VERY UNIQUE AND THE LANGUAGE IS SO SMOOTH UNLIKE OTHERS....I LOVE IT....
the young girls ware short ones yes but by about 15 or so they are wareing full leaght kimono the diference in age for women is in the arms from what i know
Young women's kimonos have longer sleeves, signifying that they are not married, and tend to be more elaborate than similarly formal older women's kimono.
What does that have to do with cultural events!!?? i am conservative. Please realize being conservative does not mean we are close minded. That is the liberal view of conservatives . please don't fall for it.
And you think Japanese people aren't conservative? If you ask me (I know a lot of Japanese people) They are just about as conservative as you can get, and some make GWB look like a socialist.
I live in Texas. (: The thing is it's so big that it really depends where you go. It's true that some parts are very conservative. Some are accepting and culturally diverse.
Take me for example, I live in San Antonio and I LOVE this music.
Actually Austin is an exception, it has this whole alternative vibe, hippie culture etc. Janis Joplin studied at UT Austin. And whole foods showed up @ Austin. That's why Austin is so cool: it combines Texas' hospitality with Austin's alternative culture :-)
@videogaga999 no, it's about how good the culture actually is. Americans promote their culture much more then Japanese but it's shit, so nobody cares about it. On the other hand, Japanese culture is really beautiful.
@Vol4eg01 no...american culture is so ingrained into us you are already part of it so therefore cannot see it. Fast food? Everyday Movies? Jeans? Shirts? Music? Bet you didn't realised that there are American.
@zanewoody Why do you say that? there is really cool stuff about every people you just have to dig a little deeper or open you studies of western culture because there is alot of really cool stuff. Japanese culture is very cool too!!!
@zanewoody European culture is anything but dull. You are merely a naive individual. I hope that with extra years you will discover and grow to appreciate the beauty of all that humanity has to offer and accomplished.
@QwoPhasaArius your right last year i didnt like European culture but i went to the Prague and i love it now and im starting to listen to European music....WTF is happening to me...but now i like it
@QwoPhasaArius Amen to that! ^-^ I <3 Italy and their aproach to life. Also one of the biggest fashion capitals is there! France is beautiful also home to the top fashions in the world! Ukrane...people with big heart...I could go on....Haven't explored russian culture yet...other than they have killer wild hamsters...
I agree its beautiful , but you should notice their culture mostly been adopted from Ancient Chinese "Tang dynasty culture" with some variations. Only a shadow or part of Great Ancient Chinese Culture.
