  • well.. your out 60$ to replace the parts

  • Saw Stop saved my dingle from being dangled. Thank you , Saw Stop.

  • Why he don't try it with finger :D

  • on the down side ur saw is done. on the good side y keep ur hand!!

  • Sawstop excluded macduff is impressed, macduff's innovative technology (The Original Jimmy Jig) the other alternate

mated to older table saws has retro-fitted that technology to be as save as it can ever be,

it will not wreck the blade or stop the saws operational function.

All macduff's ideally automatic anti-kick back devices are placed up front over-head of the blade or

    cutting tool on a

stationary fence, (a macduff first) attaches to a bracket with a suspended rod from the stationary fence

  • which will never deviate from the parallel.

This portable light weight technology cuts sheet material to 4ft. on center requiring no large

permanently mounted side or out-feed extension tables

World wide there are hundreds of thousands of table saws with the old dangerous technology out there. Sawstop at

this time cannot retro-fit these saws. Buy new not necessarily, retro-fit available yes, but don't be

complacent and keep your wits about ye, slainte mhath macduff

  • damn I ot cut by one today it hurted like sh...fudge man

  • needz moar peniz

  • Wenn er eier hat dann hebt er sein Finger hin :D

  • I wonder if anyone has tried it with their finger.

  • they have it was just on time warp tonight on the discovery channel they had the maker of it there and he put his finger in it and he didn't even get a cut no blood no nothing this is a quote from the maker "it actually just felt like a small tickle."

  • Even if it did cut you, it's still better than the alternative...

  • they did on time warp

  • @turboricky3000 ya on timewarp people did it XD

  • @turboricky3000 watch?v=E3mzhvMgrLE

  • @turboricky3000 they have tried with a real finger....on time warp

  • @turboricky3000 a guy in the carpentry shot that I use to work at on the side did. We had two of these saw stop saws. one for miters and the other set up as a normal saw. The guy was doing something stupid and is just plain lucky that we had these saws. He had two stitches to close the tiny cut. That sure bets another guy at another shop that I worked for in CA. there, we didn't have a saw stop, a guy lost three fingers ten feet away from me. I saw the whole thing happen. YUCK!

  • yeah its pretty neat we just got one in shop

apperently it the blade carries a 3 volt current acting as a GFCI(Ground Fault Circuit Interupter) however instead of just shutting of it dropps down within 5ms at the same time a cartridge fires of a ram into the blade that stops it IMMEDIATELY! althuogh if anything you need to change ur underwear afterword cause the sound is equavalant to a shotgun going off ;)

  • how does it stop? does it detects pieces of flesh on the blade?

  • it's like when you touch the plug, if you touch it with a piece of wood you won't get electrocuted but if you touch it with your finger... ZAP! well this chain uses a SMALL electric charge so when you touch it with your FINGER it will know you're drawing it to ground and stops before it can cut your finger.

  • i like my flesh theory better

  • but actually this is how it really works

  • yes i know but i like mine better

  • yours is too difficult to build and not very effective :|

  • lets just say dont be that retarded to chop off your fingers

  • you don't need to be retarded just stop looking at it or something distracts you and CLAMP! oh you didn't ruin your life thanks to Sawstop or any other security system,

  • i dont even have a circular saw or something like that

so why am i even arguing about it with you? :P

  • so do I xD

  • It sends a large current through a very very thin wire. The wire is instantly vaporized and will release the spring loaded aluminum block that it was holding. The blade is pulled down and the block stops it.

    Just read their website.

  • Thanks but I already read their website and there's no thin wire.

  • "The spring is held in compression by a fuse wire until contact is detected. When contact is detected, the system sends a surge of electricity through the fuse wire to burn the wire and release the spring."

    Read more carefully next time.

  • It's not a "thin wire" but a Fuse.

    Use adecuate terms next time.

  • A Fuse IS a thin wire!

  • OH REALLY you think a thin wire could possibly stand being under so many Kg/cm2?

  • .... The fuse only triggers the alumium brake, the fuse isn't the brake!

  • okay... XD

  • If this works, why didn't they use their fingers instead of a sausage ? ;-)

  • it have to cut a little piece

  • @Bonecrusher1976

Have you seen that nick!? That shit would sting like hell!

  • We humans are so soft and juicy to a saw *

  • yeah i go to a technical school and i take carpentry. we have 2 of these in our shop. it senses a difference in the electrical current and it drops down into an aluminum block its pretty cool it hast happened yet thank god but some dumbass will make it do that.

  • impressive

  • im guessin it senses a diff in the electrical current

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • STOPPED BY A WENIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW!!!!!!!!
