  • OMG Theres nothing left of it!! :-(

  • Im sorry, but you're doing it wrong.

  • Whats up with the Fat chicks in the related Vids>?

  • I'm appalled. If you want to use artichoke hearts in a recipe or something just buy the lot of them canned or frozen. You don't need to waste a whole fresh artichoke! :(

  • Her finished artichoke bottom was oxidized to a dark undesirable brown. Rub lemon on the exposed stem and top after cutting and it won't oxidize so fast.

  • way too labor intensive for me. canned artichoke hearts are fine by me.

  • wow…no idea the artichoke heart was such a small part of it……… :/

  • artichoke abuse beotch!

  • wow she really manhandled that artichoke

  • the artichoke is a good medecine for kidney and liver....antioxidant....just put

entirely the flower artichoke with one litre water and boiling for 45mn... than

drink eat like a tea... and see a doctor with good result....

  • The video is on how to "remove" artichoke hearts, not the most efficient way to consume the artichoke in general.

  • My sentiments exactly what a waste.

  • In all honesty it looks dirtier than before.

  • Poor poor artichocke :O should have died happier :O

  • i donn't know what is the Artichoke -.-!

i don't know how to cook and eat it as well T^T

and i'm confused that the heart of its is something looks like that hold? not the round thing??

i don't know if it very delicious because there's no Artichoke in my country -*-

but i want to try it very much, because everyone who eat it said that it's very delicious and full of nutrient :D:D

  • Thank for the video. Some of the comment were very rude and wrong. I signed on to watch it because I need to know how to trim an artichoke to the heart so I could use it in a pasta recipe. This video was very useful. For those people crying "waste", this is one of the several ways to use an artichoke, kind of like cooking beets but not using the greens, or filleting a fish. Sometimes you just need the heart of the matter. Thanks again

  • Can't see the video caption is in the way!

  • @ladydaw73 If you click the red colored CC button next to the pop out button, that should disable the captions.

  • you are a retard ... learn to post properly .... your notes block the video

  • Thanks!!!

  • I'm with everyone else, shocked at the waste of the leaves. She might as well buy canned artichoke hearts. They're just as wasteful!

  • Thank you for your demonstration. Well done!

  • Ummm, this is blasphemy... eat the leaves... remove the "fuzzy stuff" eat it dipped in butter and eat the stem!

  • The cretin once again demonstrates that she knows nothing about food!

    Village Idiot strikes again!

  • @thunderbird4510: Yes you can eat the leaves. But the leaves are sharp and rough. The heart is furry and hairy. You have to remove the furs so you won't choke on it. Too much of a hassle. Why would anyone want to eat this plant?

  • @OS253 because it has a ton of nutritional value

  • crank that artichoke lol boondocks

  • that's wronnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • I agree with the statement below. I've never had one prepared like how she showed. Interesting.

  • You should really take this video down.. it is destructive.. I'm really upset with such wastefullness.

  • OMG... what a waste of an artichoke!!!!! I eat about 4 artichokes a week and this was hard to watch... I absolutely love them and you just wasted everything! I put mine in a steamer for 30-40 min flipping it half way and it's perfect. Peel off the leaves and scrape the goodness off with your teeth and eat your way to the heart!!

  • @LenaBerryK - but there are recipes that call for artichoke hart specifically,so please calm down. this video is very helpful.

  • Why? thats such a waste of food.

you can just cook them and keep eating the ends off the leaves then make your way to the heart...

  • THIS IS MADNESS!!!

  • What a shame... so much artichoke wasted! However, if you're actually going to use the hearts, then I suppose this is the way to go.

Just picking the leaves off a steamed artichoke is my favorite way to enjoy them :-)

  • I've never made AC, but isn't this a waste?

  • this is depressing! the best part (the leaves) were totally wasted! so horrible =(

  • But... but... your supposed to eat the leaves... and then eat the heart...

    What a waste... I'm sad.

  • You will need the hearts alone if you wanna make artichoke crostinis ^^

  • it doesn't matter... use the leaves for something else then. don't just trow them away.

  • Usually I uy the canned kind for crostinis =) But if I want to make a recipe with a full artichoke I just buy HUGE ones so I get to eat more of that precious heart =) the leaves...well... I tried once with rice...didnt work =p

  • oh well, if you don't like them you don't like them... lol :D

  • Comment removed

  • @NoScopes2722 The CHOKE is also edible

  • @gumonthepants no it is not. unless u personally like it.

  • @NoScopes2722 -- Agreed... :( she wasted about 3/4 of that fine artichoke.

  • NOPE, just no!!
