We need this sort of punishment in New Zealand.. You're lucky to see a murderer get 7 years here. I think 2 parents who put their baby in a dryer only got 6 years. 70 years is some justice, so I don't like seeing the comments complaining about "only 70 years?!" I'd gladly take that 70 and put it to use here. I'd say death penalty is the best, but living in a prison for life is so much more worse :)

The cellmate he killed was , Gregory Justin Beaudoin, who had stabbed his mother to death in an argument, Beaudoin had been knocked down by a motor home when he was younger and was disabled with limited movement and barely able to walk, he was also brain damaged.
That was his second victim.
His first victim was his friend who he beat to death with a baseball bat, his friend was 20 years older than him and then there is a cat he put in a microwave.

But I would not say he's a coward- he knew when he killed the first guy that he'd be caught and sent to prison with some bad men, yet he faced it head on, then he killed his cell mate knowing he would be staying there longer. I would be willing to bet that you would not call him a coward to his face on the street or in his cell when you had no back up.
