I feel bad for people growing up now, I have memories like this to look back on in nostalgia when I remember my childhood while the kids now are stuck with Jersey Shore and Teen Mom... They need to bring the shows like this back.

Aww the ending is so sweet. I remember when this show was on, I was only 4 when it started here in Australia and now i'm nearly 18. I didn't really have any interest but my cousins used to watch this all the time. Dawson's Creek was "the" teen drama here in Australia and I'll always remember the magazine covers and bedrooms plastered with Dawson's Creek posters and images. Lived that Pacey and Joey ended up 2gether!!

Just knowing that the other would always have someone to count on was the essential structure.

I love this show! I miss when all TV shows didn't have to revolve around vampires, werewolves, or all that other supernatural stuff. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those types of shows too but nowadays almost every show has that in it. I miss quality television: boy meets girl, they fall in love, drama, end of story.
Watching Pacey and Joey has been an absolute joy over the years. I think Dawson and Joey's relationship is above romance and friendship even though she ended up with pacey. Pacey makes her feel better romantically but otherwise my man Dawson is just too special for her. At first I was heart broken because of the way it ended but then I understood the reasons why writers decided to end her up with Pacey!
This show made me cry so much. I never recovered from Jen dying. It was too much for me to handle apparently. Lol. i loved how they ended it though, I was a HUGE Pacey & Joey fan so I was glad she ended up with him, and how Dawson told her that they were "soulmates" something more than friendship. It gets me every time. I miss this show, but am very glad I gave it a chance. I was balling at the end with the montage.
The day they try to make a remake of this show is the day i quit watching television. Though its pretty cheesy at points this show is always going to have a special place in my heart. Now that im older and can understand the banter and the emotional roller coaster that life is about, i know that this show cant be touched or possibly be able to recreate .
Do they ever say who Amy's dad was, was it C.J? I think Audrey should have had an appearance in this episode so the whole gang could have been together! Audrey would have given the optimism that Jen wanted better than anyone i think.

God, I miss this show. Instead of everything being wrapped up neatly in a box, it ended the way that real life would... the end being the beginning. I still cry during this episode. I probably always will. You grow so attached to the characters... yay, I have to break out my DC dvds now :)
I like how they ended it.. I was always a big Jocey fan but I love how they made it that like yes Dawson and Joey are soul mates that Pacey is her one true love and she follows her heart. With Dawson it's like she's still the teenage girl she was in the forst season but with Pacey she is a woman who is ready to move on go forward and grow up.

Joey felt like she couldnt live up to the grown up Dawson. He achieved all his dreams Pacey is a "we're gonna finally try this out," it'll be fine for a while...until he cheats on her. That's Pacey. @Meme0shane One of the hallmarks of true love is where the lover is willing to give up the object of their love in order for the beloved to be happy. Both and Dawson and Pacey were willing to let go Joey go so she could be free to choose who she really wanted to be with. By being selfless, Dawson and Pacey got the relationship with Joey each of them deserved while reclaiming their friendship. When the person you love chooses to be with someone else, they are not meant for you.
maybe the message for this "coming of age" drama, is that things don't nessasarily end up the way you thought they would. But if you actually grow up, and become mature, you don't let that fact bother you, and enjoy the wonderful things that DO end up coming to be. :P
I know they were going for a Joey/Dawson parallel with Alexander/Lily, but Alex should be 9-10 years old, when Lily should be 6-7. They could have made him a little older.

When Jen dies, it breaks my heart. Like I literally burst into tears. I just find it incredibly sad that Grams had to see her go. And then Joey and Pacey. Such a perfect fit. I was never a Dawson and Joey shipper, it was always about Pacey and Joey. I think after season 4, I just had to stop watching because of the split (storylines sort of sucked too). I also never understood all the Jen hate, when she and Pacey also had a dynamic friendship. Always understanding and never as dramatic as Joey or Dawson.
I think that Dawson already knew who Joey was gonna pick, I mean just their conversation sounds like a goodbye. However Pacey and Joey sounded like a brand new beginning. I agree with the audio commentary for this ep where Kevin Williamson said Joey loved Dawson like a girl while she loved Pacey like a woman. With Dawson she could never grow up they always reverted back to being 15 but with Pacey she was able to grow up. And Pacey deserved to finally get the girl he was the underdog for too long
@princebuddy08 I know exactly how Joey feels. Been down that road, and i can say as nice as it is to feel at home sometimes when you're only 15/16 that puppy love, is just puppy love. You do have to grow up sometime, but it sure is nice to take a break from reality once in a while and go back to fantasizing as a 15/16 year old with your puppy love. Still in the end, it's nothing but a fairy tale/fantasy.
Pacey & Joey were meant to be. Dawson & Joey are so annoying as a couple. Dawson never gave Joey room to grow. As a couple they never matured, but rather stayed trapped at the age of 15.
Pacey pushed Joey to grow, he wanted her to promise she would let him go if he held her back! He was always willing to do anything for Joey. Dawson on the otherhand always expected Joey to be willing to do anything for him.

Best ending! I love all the clips they show at the end, but it makes me mad that they leave Andie out....and they didn't mention Audrey at all either. I get that she wasn't really supposed to be a important character, but they why was she on the season 5 and 6 dvds as a main character? GAH! Oh well.
@Tarcotti I agree with u, it was a great ending, but i think it kind of was a mistake for Williamson to do the epidose, seeing as he hadn't done anything on the series since season 2. it was almost as if seasons 3-5 were completely skipped (also, i agree about Andie and Audrey, both excellent characters who never got enought credit)
I loved Dawson's Creek. Great show. I prefer Dawson and Joey although I liked Pacey as a character. Many people think that this last scene is indicative that Joey chose to spend her life with Pacey, but I think that all it really shows is that she chose to keep the triangle going. Under no circumstances was she willing to give up her soul mate, Dawson, so basically what you have is Pacey being the one who is settling to be with Dawson and Joey for the rest of his life, not Joey choosing Pacey.
@frh1203 If you ever get to see the finale on DVD, you would have access to running commentary from Kevin Williamson and Paul Stupin. Although it was Kevin's original intention that Dawson and Joey end up together, even he realized that Pacey and Joey as a couple made more sense. In the hospital, Joey tells Jen that she always knew with whom she was supposed to end up. Consequently, her choice does speak for itself.

I always hated Dawson. I hated him after season 2 when Joey decided to leave him. I guess I never stopped hating him, lol. I was THRILLED when she ended up with Pacey, but I hated the fact and her and Dawson exchanged that disgusting "we're soulmates" business. They were childhood best friends that dated. They're not soulmates. Yes, they love each other, but let's not glorify it!

I think Dawson and Joey's relationship is above romance and friendship even though she ended up with pacey. Pacey makes her feel better romantically but otherwise my man Dawson is just too special for her. At first I was heart broken because of the way it ended but then I understood the reasons why writers decided to end her up with Pacey!

This show made me cry so much. I never recovered from Jen dying. It was too much for me to handle apparently. Lol. i loved how they ended it though, I was a HUGE Pacey & Joey fan so I was glad she ended up with him, and how Dawson told her that they were "soulmates" something more than friendship. It gets me every time. I miss this show, but am very glad I gave it a chance. I was balling at the end with the montage.

The day they try to make a remake of this show is the day i quit watching television. Though its pretty cheesy at points this show is always going to have a special place in my heart. Now that im older and can understand the banter and the emotional roller coaster that life is about, i know that this show cant be touched or possibly be able to recreate .

Aww Pace and Jo are meant to be, what she had with Dawson was no where near her relationship with Pacey! + It just broke my heart when Jen died :'( She had had such a desastrous life and when she finally got the oppurtunity to be happy and enjoy life with her daughter, they had to make her die! I'm still convinced that she and Dawson belonged together, just like Pacey and Joey did...

God, I miss this show. Instead of everything being wrapped up neatly in a box, it ended the way that real life would... the end being the beginning. I still cry during this episode. I probably always will. You grow so attached to the characters... yay, I have to break out my DC dvds now :)

I like how they ended it.. I was always a big Jocey fan but I love how they made it that like yes Dawson and Joey are soul mates that Pacey is her one true love and she follows her heart. With Dawson it's like she's still the teenage girl she was in the forst season but with Pacey she is a woman who is ready to move on go forward and grow up.

Joey felt like she couldnt live up to the grown up Dawson. He achieved all his dreams Pacey is a "we're gonna finally try this out," it'll be fine for a while...until he cheats on her. That's Pacey. He's gonna hurt her and she'll regret not going after her true love. Pacey will end up going back to the Creek and live with that old cunt Grams, who somehow will outlive everyone, but not before Dawson and Joey end up together and a new boy posts Leery film posters around his room!

I used to be a Dawson fan but he ended up doing lots of stupid things. Pacey grew up WITH Joey and that makes them very good with each other.

I understand how some of you were happy that joey and pacey ended up together but I dont like it. Princebuddy08 said that Kevin Williamson said Joey loved Dawson like a girl while she loved Pacey like a woman. That gives a place for Joey and Pacey to be together. Dawson loved her with all his heart. It's like they made the character be happy that the love of his life, his soulmate, is with another man and not him. Me, Myself as a person dont like the way they ended the show. Reuntion????

@Meme0shane One of the hallmarks of true love is where the lover is willing to give up the object of their love in order for the beloved to be happy. Both and Dawson and Pacey were willing to let go Joey go so she could be free to choose who she really wanted to be with. By being selfless, Dawson and Pacey got the relationship with Joey each of them deserved while reclaiming their friendship. When the person you love chooses to be with someone else, they are not meant for you.

maybe the message for this "coming of age" drama, is that things don't nessasarily end up the way you thought they would. But if you actually grow up, and become mature, you don't let that fact bother you, and enjoy the wonderful things that DO end up coming to be. :P

I love the ending! I love all 3 characters and believe the ending is perfect. They all got what they wanted and needed, Love and Friendship. Just watching this reminds me how important our love ones are and the time we share with them and about the opportunities life has to offer ... Thank you for posting this video and for Dawson's Creek! I had to make a decision on a life changing experience and it's helped me make it. Again, Thank you! :)

When Jen dies, it breaks my heart. Like I literally burst into tears. I just find it incredibly sad that Grams had to see her go. And then Joey and Pacey. Such a perfect fit. I love her Joey's relationship with Dawson. It's so special. I like Dawson, no matter how annoying he may have been. He's a dreamer. Never content with one thing, always reaching higher. That doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Love takes time to grow. Dawson and Joey never fought for each other. They let things slide. Pacey and Joey fought for each other much more and as a result came to understand each other more.

@smallvilleman69The orignial writer DID write the finale!! Dawson and Joey loved each other but not in that "in love way" .....it was in that "lifelong bond" way. With Dawson and Joey romantically,it was that childhood "love" that you outgrow.
Pacey and Joey were the real thing. Pacey caused Joey to fall in True genuine love.........and just look at the way he felt about her:)!!
Dawson my have been her "soulmate",but Pacey was the love of her life.

Are the writers arguing with the producers for the ending they forced them to make?
it seems strange that the ending on the film within a film is the real ending with stand-in actors for the parts

I was never a Dawson and Joey shipper, it was always about Pacey and Joey. I think after season 4, I just had to stop watching because of the split (storylines sort of sucked too). I also never understood all the Jen hate, when she and Pacey also had a dynamic friendship. Always understanding and never as dramatic as Joey or Dawson.

I think that Dawson already knew who Joey was gonna pick, I mean just their conversation sounds like a goodbye. However Pacey and Joey sounded like a brand new beginning. I agree with the audio commentary for this ep where Kevin Williamson said Joey loved Dawson like a girl while she loved Pacey like a woman. With Dawson she could never grow up they always reverted back to being 15 but with Pacey she was able to grow up. And Pacey deserved to finally get the girl he was the underdog for too long

@princebuddy08 I know exactly how Joey feels. Been down that road, and i can say as nice as it is to feel at home sometimes when you're only 15/16 that puppy love, is just puppy love. You do have to grow up sometime, but it sure is nice to take a break from reality once in a while and go back to fantasizing as a 15/16 year old with your puppy love. Still in the end, it's nothing but a fairy tale/fantasy.

Pacey & Joey were meant to be. Dawson & Joey are so annoying as a couple. Dawson never gave Joey room to grow. As a couple they never matured, but rather stayed trapped at the age of 15.
Pacey pushed Joey to grow, he wanted her to promise she would let him go if he held her back! He was always willing to do anything for Joey. Dawson on the otherhand always expected Joey to be willing to do anything for him.

Best ending! I love all the clips they show at the end, but it makes me mad that they leave Andie out....and they didn't mention Audrey at all either. I get that she wasn't really supposed to be a important character, but they why was she on the season 5 and 6 dvds as a main character? GAH! Oh well.

@Tarcotti I agree with u, it was a great ending, but i think it kind of was a mistake for Williamson to do the epidose, seeing as he hadn't done anything on the series since season 2. it was almost as if seasons 3-5 were completely skipped (also, i agree about Andie and Audrey, both excellent characters who never got enought credit)

I loved Dawson's Creek. Great show. I prefer Dawson and Joey although I liked Pacey as a character. Many people think that this last scene is indicative that Joey chose to spend her life with Pacey, but I think that all it really shows is that she chose to keep the triangle going. Under no circumstances was she willing to give up her soul mate, Dawson, so basically what you have is Pacey being the one who is settling to be with Dawson and Joey for the rest of his life, not Joey choosing Pacey.

@frh1203 If you ever get to see the finale on DVD, you would have access to running commentary from Kevin Williamson and Paul Stupin. Although it was Kevin's original intention that Dawson and Joey end up together, even he realized that Pacey and Joey as a couple made more sense. In the hospital, Joey tells Jen that she always knew with whom she was supposed to end up. Consequently, her choice does speak for itself.
