JUST MADE IT... In 1962 "Love Came To Me" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 11 weeks in the Top 100...
This record was the 2nd in a string of three straight records by Dion to make the Top 10; started with "Little Diane" {#8}, then this one, and finally "Ruby Baby" {#2}...
i remember the first time i ever heard dion and it was from a film called the wanderers which today is my fav film, ive been hooked on dion ever since, this guy is a legend, old is gold.. a true rocker..
I love the guys singing with him---personality, great voices---wish I could find them on other songs---Dion hasn't lost a thing---Great voice---great showman
i loved his verson of ´dream lover´ but cant find the right verson on youtube.. the one im looking for is the verson thats in the movie ´Hot shots´ when Charlie Sheen drives bike and copiyng her on the horse! :)
Dion was a junkie for years! There aren't many singer/musicians who survived that world of horror and came back, looking & sounding as good as Dion DiMucci. God Bless him and rock on!!!!
the guy hasn't lost a thing....looks great, sounds great....and he's fucking 70?!!!!! He is truly and authentically the real deal, the king of the finest doo wop.
Dion his really great. On april 18 saw him at Trump plaza. I liked his music (Rock & Roll) .Sing with his heart, great back vocals, good musicians. Music that feels goods. We did have a really great time at his show, Great performance And if I can I will see him again!!!!
in 1963 I lay near death in an Air Force hospital bed. I had a padded radio ear piece on my pillow. I don't know how many times I heard "Ruby Baby" by Dion but I'm sure it helped heal me.
Joyous integrity (thanks to Iowa61). It may be silly, but my fantasy of next week's Inauguration would include Dion performing there...it just seems totally right to me. With an impossible guest appearance by Marving Gaye. These are the two guys who spoke most directly to me as I tried to navigate my teenage world.
this is great but bit different than the original, maybe this is slower? i think it's losing a bit the feeling of the original one to change it to more sad...
Love came to me..only this time for real..what a coool sound and style. I grew up listening to this !! Dion and the Belmonts from the belmont section of the bronx ...ME 56 from Bklyn all my life...
So I'm at at a Southside Johnny and the Jukes Concert 18 mos. ago. and Johnny says a special guest, a rock n roll great. And I say Bruce Springstein. No even better DION!!! Sang three songs pure hipness pure class.
love makes me feel so good...love is a blast and I know it will last, love came to me .....what a cool sound he always had on EVERY song..these guys are good.................
gus gossert?? they AIN"T..no belmonts or Delsatins..??.you kidding? Losers?..who are you? where do you sing?..uhh this is not 1960... I Think it's great...
MAN LEAVE THE BACKGROUND SINGERS ALONE...This is about the KING OF DOO WOP, DION DIMUCCI, and at 65 + years still ROCKS, and his last 2 albums prove his talent in the Blues, Dion is just as important to the evolution of Rock & Roll as Bob Dylan & Elvis, PERIOD!!!
GusGossert these guys are great...what the heck are you listening to...this is now...not 58..forget the Belmonts they can't sing anymore...the Delsatins???common man...
2 superstars, among others, Dion and Connie Francis grew up about 8 miles from me in New Jersey. Would like to thank them for the fabulous sounds they brought me and the world.
The very first recording artist to be known by one name. Dion preceded Sinatra and Elvis with one name. Along with Larry Chance, Johnny Mastrangelo and the late great Joey "Vann" Canzano, Dion is on the Mt. Rushmore of the greatest voices of Early Rock and Roll.
Hey dolomite51, that's right as Riddlemind says...Do you have a problem? By the way, he's not Native American...He happens to be part Italian and part Romanian Gypsy. He's more talented than you can imagine. His name is Jamie King Colton.
