Bears are extremely dangerous and unpredictable. Luckily for us, they have a natural and HEALTHY fear of humans which causes them to avoid us. When people feed them, they lose that fear and become bolder and more aggressive towards people and eventually will start approaching and attacking. That's why it's illegal to feed them.

This is why: he's breaking down the natural fear that bears have towards humans. This is the fear that makes them avoid humans and residential areas. These bears now associate humans and cabins with food and will be more bold. This will lead to bear attacks and this concern supersedes one person's "joy" of feeding them.

Ive seen ppl try to put their own children on Bison and elk as well as tell them to get closer to a bear so the picture comes out better. PPL Need to be educated on this. yes they are powerful and bueatiful, but, they still are wild. They are unpredictable. And most ppl need to use their common sense.

I think this is an excellent show. I watched the frist 2 shows last week and was blown away. I can't wait to see tonights episodes. This is a quality show. I also like Chimp Eden and I can't wait to see the return of Meerkat Manor. I would like to see a show with a series about wild Orcas.

This guy is teaching Bears that people equal easy food, which is way it is not legal to feed them and will result in these bears being killed by people. He is signing their death warrant. The Indians in the area have lived with the bears forever by leaving them alone. The Bear who ate Grizzly man was killed as a result of that mans ignorance and I believe two other were also.

The problem is that what he is doing is going to get the bears killed. The bears will either kill him or someone else because he is teaching them that people equal easy food. The result of that is bears will be killed by people. They are wild animals respect them, enjoy them from afar, leave them alone. His selfish behavior will result in the death of these animals.

This is why: he's breaking down the natural fear that bears have towards humans. This is the fear that makes them avoid humans and residential areas. These bears now associate humans and cabins with food and will be more bold. This will lead to bear attacks and this concern supersedes one person's "joy" of feeding them.

It is great to feature that bears are not just psycho killer animals that attack for no reason. And to show off the beauty and power of these animals. BUT i hope no one thinks that what this guy is doing is good and safe idea fr wither him or the bears/wildlife. Will some parent sue Animal Planet after their kid loses an arm at Yellowstone or something...just wondering.

Its not just kids, in fact, mostly parents I see do this (I live right outside Yellowstone) I have yelled at ppl for trying to get to close. Ive seen ppl try to put their own children on Bison and elk as well as tell them to get closer to a bear so the picture comes out better. PPL Need to be educated on this. yes they are powerful and bueatiful, but, they still are wild. They are unpredictable. And most ppl need to use their common sense.
