Actually, if you live in Southern California, by 2017 or so, Spanish will be the MAIN language for the whole state (I believe it already happened on the North) and you will be required to have a bilingual Spanish something... on your Diploma (for jobs). So it is best to take Spanish courses over High School - (in my school they automatically do it if you either take 4 years of it and get at least "B's" on the classes or pass the Spanish AP Exam) rather than College, which is harder.
