والله خيالي والي اقترحها انسان فاهم وواقعي ونظرته بعيدة مو مثل نظرة السعودية الي سوي توسعه تمشي الحال حاليا وخلاص وفي ستين داهية بعدين
احييك وانا اجزم انه لو كانت الامارات مثلا هي المشرفة على هذه الفكرة لنفذتها بكل اتقان واحترافية وبالرغم من انني سعودي الا انني لا اثق بتوسعة ابن لادن الاخيره وهي مجرد تخدير لوقت معين ثم راح يتورطو اكبر توريطة

There nothing wrong with the building an idea around the masjid al haram, but I disagree with design, because he uses up huge amount of space and material, he could have turn the idea to something that it useful and sustainable, things people really need?
I can't believe they could imagine this plan on Masjidil Haram. If they accomplish the plan, how about the new hotel besides Masjidil Haram? It'll demolished or what?
It looks kinda nice (allthough I agree it also looks a bit too futuristic, too mechanical or something, I dunno). What would such a thing cost?! I'm sure it would be better if they spend all that money trying to help the poor people in the world.

its making it look like an alian ground , bad design , & where are the historical parts of the mosque!! this is alian planning not urban planing , we are addicted to big solutions & we ignore lots of important issues in the process of achieving a wild unthoughtfull day-dream.

this iwll not be a real expansion the expansionis already happening theres to much images and videos of expansions that will no even happen but if you go to google news and type down makkah expansion of just makkah youl learn more if there will be more expansions

@jabri11 Ur perception of alien is based on hollywood... The only proof of alien in Islam r Jinn...an advanced race tht was created by Allah b4 humans. So what if it looks out of this world. I'd say its good design... anyway, Islam is itself, universal. The only regrets we should hav is tht the saudi govt hv been demolishing historical grounds in evry parts of Mekah.
@KucingKayap They Have to demolish, how are they going to construct new hotels for increasing number of pilgirims, Makkah is a mountaneous city and it is always crowded with very few ground space, they have no other choice.. they have to..
@EbeerIglesias There r many ways to preserve historical grounds if we use our God-given talent. ....but i do hope tht this new conceptual art design will come to be true.... it is so out of this world and universal.... and again, without sacrificing historical landmarks.

Great presentation, but as long as the project is kept solely around the mosque and all those other hotel expansions are not built.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I honestly believe that it would turn this holiest ground into another Arabic style resort destination.
Make the mosque, yes, circular, but stay away from the rest of Mecca... SACRIFICE and NOT HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS.
Really, would high rise hotels make it better?
