@MOSpr0ductz Its not technically infinite since your world can't contain more than 9223372036854775807 of data because the integer used was a Long. He could of used an int but a long was more suitable for a game of that size. I'm not an expert at Java but the reason your world doesn't overload and load all the data at once is because notch is a genius and made a thing he call 'Chunks' and chunks are 128 x 16 x 16. Why that size? He used a 'Byte' integer which cannot contain more than 128 data
