You are right but not totally, I know people who does not believe in god and have a good behavior. I think the key point is education, not religion. The bad thing is that religion is used to control certain amount of people but if people is well educated and has good criterion, or use their brains religion would not control anybody, since those kind of things that religion has done with bad intentions contradicts things like the ten commandments in the case of christianity.

You are right but not totally, I know people who does not believe in god and have a good behavior. I think the key point is education, not religion. The bad thing is that religion is used to control certain amount of people but if people is well educated and has good criterion, or use their brains religion would not control anybody, since those kind of things that religion has done with bad intentions contradicts things like the ten commandments in the case of christianity.

good point & good debate, i understand what you mean, but, i hope you understand me also, for example, if you don't know what a hot stove is, & you touch it, it will hurt you, after you experience it, usually a logical person would not want to do it again, as for the 10 commandment, when human being is more evolve to a deeper understand they would not need rules or laws, they simply know what best for themselves and for other. For example, non-religious people also know not to kill anyone..etc

I agree with the avatar reference but I must add that just because something is called new age does not mean it is based on old occultism. U must be fairly informed to decifer which is and is not but its not too hard. For example, new age heavy metal music is not old occultism but can contain references in the lyrics based on the occult or refering to the NWO which must be determined by the listener wether or not to discard, tolerate or support its meaning.

You see, you cant just quote a single line from the quran like that. You have to read the whole surah, better still, read the whole quran. I bet you went to google and searched for that. That particular surah was revealed to muhammad during the 10 year peace treaty with the Quraish in Mecca. That was an ayat revealed to Muhammad to warn him of the backstabbing Quraish people.
Do not start making conclusions based on things that you have totally no idea about.

Muhammad was a bringer of peace, he wanted peace with the unbelievers, although god had revealed to him that they were an open enemy, and that peace is not possible with them.
And true enough, the Quraish broke that treaty, and Muhammad realised that Peace really was impossible. And that led to Muhammad Conquering Mecca.
Please, you do not know anything. The unbelievers mentioned in that surah does not refer to you, so don't piss in your pants, we wont kill you if you're innocent.

Well Peace to you and your family as well---! I also have a good Muslim freind who has already "rested." We made the BEST of freinds bcus we talk more about our "relationship" than "religion"-ship. Why I didn't insult you much as ANY Religious people would "naturally" do? Well, that's also for you to find out. Since most of us don't get our "morality" from the Qur'an and The Bible---does it mean that we know NOTHING of it? Reality proves the opposite.

I dont deny that religion can bring about ugly things. But i prefer to think at a personal level. Has Islam turned me into a better person? I swear upon this whole existence that it has. Our relationship with god, is personal. And during the reckoning, you will meet your lord personally. So when you really believe in god,... what others do, it dosent bother you as much.

Well, Good for you---I guess other people who share different beliefs than yours have their OWN reasons too---why they don't believe in what either one of us believes. So I guess the bottomline is NOT whether one has belief OR lack of (religious or otherwise) belief, but WHERE that belief is LEADING him to. Is it for the good of all or only for himself even if this means destroying all others in his path?

According to you people, existence is just an accident, so why does it even matter if an innocent person gets killed.

If a native woman hasn't touched a book, does it mean she does not know how to "breastfeed" her baby? If people lack beliefs, does that mean that they also lack feelings to love and to get hurt? Good IF there really is a Heaven, for you (Christians, Muslims, Hindus etc) to receive your "just" rewards--what IF there wasn't any? Would you KILL yourself and YOUR loved-ones cus of it? Exactly, these things are imprinted in our hearts by our lord. How can you atheists say that the whole of this existence came out from a random event? There is a supremely inteligent, wise, kind, righteous power at work here. And it is our duty to discover the straight path to him.

First off, I'm not an atheist nor am I a fanatical religious believer. Just like I said above, it doesn't matter when OR how this universe of ours started---as it does not matter whether a child is born of a father only to abandon his family---all that matters based on our PRESENT condition is: does someone REALLY care? We've been callin for Him for centuries and WHERE is the answer?

Where is the PROMISE of universal peace? You say that: God is "supremely inteligent, wise, kind, righteous power" Fine then. So why does He/She keep us waiting for millions of years? Is that a "display" of his intelligence, wisdom and righteouness---especially His LOVE? Haven't we ALL suffered for long already? To REPEAT what I've said above: IF you (as a person) love someone, (please respond directly with a YES or NO) will you let them wait for LONG IF you HEAR their CRIES???????

"by our lord" in saying this, you are obviously alluding to the GOD of Islam---even as Christians would essentially say that it is THEIR God who "imprinted" this in our hearts. But whether its YOUR lord and not others remains an open question---otherwise ALL theists who believe in GOD have UNITED under the banner of ONE religion. But so far it hasn't.
