@halranger Eh... you have no idea what these guys were thinking. Personally, I think Gauss Rifles in Mech2 were crap. Here, it's useful as a scattershot mortar particularly for clearing out buildings over walls and minefields.
@depth386 In this level, those buildings are Helicopter and Tank Hangars. Later levels (not Satalice, given how helos really don't work near intense volcanic areas) use helipads.
Reason why I almost always handle Inferno SRMs: Fry mechs real fast. LRM20s (Just a simple missile that goes really far in this game, not a deathloading salvo): Not reliable for close Mech combat, it's good for sniping enemies faraway. The enemy mechs are Inner Sphere (their equipment is usually inferior to stuff from the Clans, but the companies do hire some damn good pilots).
I wonder what came first, this game or Battletech on the Genesis

Rofl I thought Gauss Rifles were supposed to shoot bullets at hypersonic velocity not curving giant yellow blobs

Y Button is use your Launcher. (Hold to charge PPC or Gauss Rifle)
B Button is use your Projectile. (Hold for rapid fire on any weapon)
A Button is to use your Explosive. (Hold for constant stream with Inferno)
L and R are manual torso twist. This was not included in the Genesis version.

I prefer MW2 on PC much more, but this looks interesting I'll be sure to look for it...
I do have a working SNES, after all.

Somewhere in the MechWarrior 2 Resource Forum, you'll find the thread for this game.
Believe me, I only posted these videos for demonstration purposes.

Huh. Maybe... :P
You know I didn't recognize you until I paid REALLY good attention. :P

It sux that you have to kill so many hospitals.
susumu07 2 years ago
What?
There are no hospitals in this game!
blackyoshi1230 2 years ago
Wehhehhhellll..... what are ALL of those small square white buildings with the letter "H" on the roof lol? They look like the enemy hospitals to me.
susumu07 2 years ago
that just so happens to be a helicopter landing pad ;)
Karuik2 2 years ago

the H is for Helicopter
jamohanleva 2 years ago 2
@susumu07 I think those H's are for helicopters to land on, after all, thats the roof of the building. It's a helicopter & possibly tank/apc hangar.

Thanks for watching!
And if anybody cares, I will gladly redo the video! (For some reason, this looks like it's my iconic video, I should add more commentary). =)

Wow, you're a good player! I always have trouble dealing with enemy mechs, so I usually run to mech factory and destroy it asap.

What a classic! It was one of my favourites and got me into all the Battletech/Mechwarrior thing. Awesome

Thanks for watching. Also, I have to apologize for the lack of commentary in this part (Part 2, in my own opinion had the best commentary).
