About 18 months or so ago Ron was suffering poor health - it's good to see how strong his playing is now and to know that he's still recording. Good luck with the CD.

Ron Stout has just come out with a recording called "Metamorpheus" a recent cd release (just pressed up 09/06/11) featuring the "Ron Stout Quintet". It is available for purchase on ebay for $14.95 and actually there is one brand new copy listed in auction for a $2 starting bid. There are some burnin' "Ron solos" on this disc. Nine great originals and the band sounds great too. The band consists of Ron Stout - trumpet, Jerry Pinter, Danton Boller, Frank Strauss - piano
