Nah sorry man u didnt get a good deal. I got the t3i from best buy for 756 with lens. Then bundled it with a ef 55 250mm,lens. For bundling i got 100 off camera and 150 off the lens. So i got my 600d for 6 bucks more tham ur 500d. that was the STANDARD PRICE NO SALE. GUESS THATS WHAT HAPPENS WEN U WORK TO EARN A DOLLAR .U DONT PISS MONEY AWAY. Oh enjoy ur camera.

2. When you do continuous shooting you have to turn the dial to motion (or the running man) and turn auto focus off therefore maximizing your shooting speed

any of the Canon EF-S lenses should work. i would think most other EF-S ones would work too, but knowing big companies..the Canon lenses probably would work best

To see how fast the continues shots is, I recommend use the continues shot mode not the single photo mode. Because with the single photo mode activated, the camera will focus each time you click to shoot, with the continues mode the camera will be ever focus in the same place. And for best results I recommend use an high value for the aperture to get a big focus distance. I love photography too! :)
