yes, the apple HDMI adapter works on iphone4, ipad 1 and 2, and 4th gen ipod touch. You only get mirror mode (as seen in this video) on the ipad 2. The other devices I listed work only with certain apps like video playback and slideshows.
I'll probably be getting a 62GB wifi + 3G iPad 2 or the next iPad. But I have a 32GB iPhone 4 and a HD LCD tv does this work whith iPhone 4 also where can I get the cable? Apple shop?
@SuperLeoTv playing movies may work with this on ipad 1 but i doubt it, you may want to see if that works, but you can play movies using the vga (or other type) adapter for ipad. but im not sure if the hdmi one works
This is useless without a controller. Now before anybody says anything "intelligent", you typical mac users, you would have to look at your ipad to see if you are pressing the right controls or gestures rather than the TV screen no?
Now if you can use a bluetooth controller like dual shock 3 that would be nice, there is already a method for the wiimote

Fun games, like Cut the Rope, Tiny Wings etc can still be played. Racing games in particular must be fun to play, as they don't require a lot of.. tapping.
