unfortunately, the Granos has a pressurized portafilter and i have found that those who say you get the best results by updosing the heck out of those are really onto something... and, as for the time, i stopped timing quite some time back on this machine in favor of just watching for the paling... this machine, sadly, has temp and pressure issues, so i find many of the rules do not exactly apply and, after noticing it just does not perform in the time that a machine should, i go by paling...

i used a hacked Canon PowerShot A720 for this on macro mode... or maybe it was manual focus - yeah, probably manual...
