Camped off Needle Island, I think it's called batchelor cove. fished and swam till when, general store in Raquette Village still sells chunk ice, chopped off a hunk of ice for couple bucks. Canoeing is a bit rufffffff and cooooold in spring, great fishing. C H E E R S!!!!!
hey guys loved the video! i been hunting blue mtn off of 28 for years now. i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place for me and my family to camp on the south end of the lake on state land. id like to pitch a nice tent for the whole season. by the way how is the fishing?
I've watched this video several times when I need a Raquette Lake fix and need to escape to a better place. I usually camp on Big Island with my kids and friends...same feel. Great photos and please post your 2008 trip. I look forward to seeing them!!
Where on Indian Point? My grandfather just built a house on Indian Point. Second one in from the tip of the point on the Beaver Bay side. My family spends a lot of time up there during the summer. Amazing place.
I was there too. I was probably 14 at the time so didn't help much but those things did not look like fun. I was also there when they went up. We bent a few rungs on the ladder dropping one actually... And I think I did hear about the sailboat incident. Where's leaning birches? I'm not familiar with all the camps' names.
We have been going to Golden Beach for 20 years now too and can't say enough good about it. Sure the front row of sites is tightly packed but the rest of the park is the best. One thing you'll notice there is the number of returning campers - my kids have had returning friends in the park every time we stay...
well i guess it does kind of in response 2 your sister thanx for all your responses yes thomhartswick that is indian point we stay most of the time in lonesome bay and we are all from central ny thnx again
Absoluetly beautiful! I'm heading up to Raquette Lake next week to join my buddies for our 28th annual Lucky Lager weekend! Where are you guys from? I thought I recognized Indian Point in one of those shots....and of course the unmistakable "tit" mountain or whatever it's called. Great shots...maybe we'll post a vid of our own that you can enjoy in a couple of weeks....cheers!

We stay at Leaning Birches. Two camps east of the Crags. Is your gradfather Dave?
mutiny15 4 years ago
Yes.... haha. You know him?

We helped carry his main microlams when he was building. Ask him about the sailboat incident last August in front of his dock

Hey guys, are you at all familiar with GOLDEN BEACH CAMPGROUND on Raquette Lake? Trying to book a campsite, but I am not sure about this place.
KarenchikJan 2 years ago
Golden Beach is on the Southeast end of the lake. It's a very nice spot, you should have fun. Enjoy!
