It's not just automatic, it has a TIPTRONIC system which is essentially a manual transmission with a computer-managed clutch. This allows cars to have an automatic transmission for normal, everyday driving, but change to something closer to stickshift for racing or sport. I prefer stickshift, but I also like the TIPTRONIC, especially when combined with paddles behind the steering wheel. As long is the shift is smooth and fast enough, it works out better than stickshift sometimes, especially whe

@mubeenkh94 you are correct, and with upgrade valve bodies ect, you will get a tighter shift. Just look at the new GT-R, paddle shifters with a Auto-Tiptronic transmission.

let's face it guys.... conventional manual super cars are getting obsolete. Almost all new ferrari cars now are semi automatic. And even racing cars from rally cars to touring cars to le mans and formula 1 are all semi automatic!! Automatic is the way of the future!!!

Modern automatic transmission systems are advanced enough to shift just as quickly and as smoothly as even the best drivers. HEEL AND TOE downshifting!!!!... God its cool

I just find it annoying that people who prefer manual transmissions have to be obnoxious about it and say that only a woman would drive an automatic. Actually the new 911 GT3 RSR has more horsepower than the R8 and still looks great, and you can't put Porsche down because they've been winning races since the mid-1930s.
