Re no neck hyperextension, no subplatysmal flap, does these not make the procedure technically more difficult especially in very large goiters? I've noticed that the specimen is still covered with pseudocapsule, is your dissection not down to the gland itself? The harmonic scalpel makes it easier/faster but more expensive.
so..are they just gonna keep the gaws/tissue or whatever in there?

had a total thyroidectomy a week ago its very painful but atleast i had a great dr. who gave me percocets in the pill and in the liquid form
