ahhh no sure not, i mean the changes between the patterns, i think that this song is realy interpretative,i mean that if you can handle this double footwork u can play it in the style that suit u best, limited by tech obviously, i can't really find the fitting pattern for my way to play it, but it's just because i've not enough skilz i think lol.
it comes with practice im ALMOST there, a little more speed and more endurance and i got, but ive been practicing non stop for months (just sitting there and doing it.
if you stick to the pattern of RLR L RLR L and stay by it it will come easy.
also start out slowish and work your way up and just focus on the feet only (but keep time with your hands.
sorry i dont even know what i put. i know its a herta, which i think are surprisingly simpilar swiss army triplets. but most meshuggah songs have polymetres in them dont they. and polyrhythms. i just know people get em mixed up all the time
lol yeah dude they're hertas, why is everyone saying it's a polyrhythm? guess people who haven't been in a marching band or on a line wouldn't know a rudiment...
What the feet are playing is of course a herta, but setting it in a context with what the hands are doing (or the rest of the band for that matter!) makes it a polyrhythm...
hertas are a hybrid rudiment sticked as singles with a rhythm of two sixteenth note triplets then two eighth note triplets. this song is polyrhythmic and polymetric because the rudiment is being played as two thirty second notes then two sixteenth notes which simulates a feel of 4:3. So it resolves after three beats but is being played in 4/4.
Goddamn NICE!

MattiLainen1337 2 years ago
yeah it's like a 4 against 3 feel in 4/4. therefore polyrhythmic and polymetric
metrognome69 2 years ago
it is hertas, but the feel is polyrhythmic/polymetric.
metrognome69 2 years ago
can you tell me what a herta is?
bacon57 2 years ago
