in ur opinion, which is better, finishing dust or kaolin powder sunlight for a flawless and shine-free??

I haven't tried the Finishing Dust, only Kaolin and Rice but I sort of liked the Rice powder better, but it's not available on their site anymore. The Kaolin powder didn't control my oil at all, maybe that's just in my case. But my favorite oil control powder is Kryolan Anti-Shine powder.

I know! Poor Silk Dusts! There's a lot of other mineral makeup companies that sell plain silk dust though.

No I didn't but I don't think I used them long enough to see a real reaction.  I'm still using the Silk Dust more.

i am a golden medium foundation color too, but which would you prefer? Soft Bronze or Sunlight? I know you mentioned that it barely has any difference. Is there any difference if you would to pack it on? lol

For reals though, I tried packing it on but couldn't really tell a difference but I guess if you want something "summery", go with the Soft Bronze, otherwise the Sunlight is good too. I tend to use the Sunlight one more but I use the tinted Silk Dust all the time.  Poor silk dusts, they're gone now =(

They discontinued it last month because of some ingredient issues. They used to get some of their ingredients from China but wanted to stay within the US now.

I love my Tinted Silk Dust! I stocked up on it because it was discontinued! Great review. I always get the Super custom kit too! So cheap and great products!

I heard the start to finish powders with the kaolin controls oil better. I haven't tried it but I'm planning to buy it with my $50 kit. lol i'm just waiting til edm has another 20% sale. Does the white start to finish leave a white residue like the silk dust?

I was going to try those regular STF powders on my next order just to try it out even though I just ordered tons of Tinted Silk Dust. But yeah, wait until they switch to the jars with closeable sifters before you order. That's what I'm waiting for! =D The Sunlight STF doesn't leave a white cast to your face like the regular Silk Dust. HTH

I didn't get a white residue with the Start to Finish kaolin, but it did make me break out pretty badly. The kaolin clay (which doesn't cause me to break out in mask form) apparently does not agree with my skin when "buffed" in as a powder.

That sucks! Maybe I won't try it out then. My skin is really prone to acne. I'd rather have an oily face than zits. Thanks for the info.

I wonder why some of the finishing powders are 8 grams and others are 9 grams =/

I think the Silk Dusts are 9 g instead of 8 because the powder just weighs more even if it's the same volume as the others.

No not yet. But their going to be discontinued by the middle of the month. It says why on their website in the forum section. I was disappointed to find out last night so now I have to make another order. Thanks for the request! =)
