Seems like the US don't like Lulu so much, first of all: is not a Metallica album, or a Lou Reed album, it's just a colaboration between the two.

Second: Is not really "music", more like a man speaking poetry with a band playing in the back...it's a thing really common in jazz.

Also, good review of the Loutallica song, really fair. The people who are hating on the song from a "LOU REED SUX THE ONLY GOOD BIT IS WHEN JAMES STARTS SINGING" are fucking infuriating. Reed's lyrics are the only thing stopping it from being a stock metal loop dirge, and even his delivery would've been bearable if wasn't mixed so loud.

Usually when a band releases a teaser song, they do it to attract an audience and get some enthusiasm going. They normally take one of the best, if not the best, song from the album. That Metallica/Lou Reed choose The View then must mean that the rest of the album can be compared to a pile of vomit covered in two month old spunk.

Radiohead are one of the greatest bands of all time. The way they wrote and released "The Bends", not expecting much and making a fucking masterpeice blows my mind. Maybe "LuLu" has a story to it and this is part of it. (I think) you are right about an old man rambling, b/c its definitely that! However, I kind of like, the song puts me in a mental ward and some crazy patient saying he is everything and nothing and in the end realizes he is Jesus Christ. Its definetly not Load 3. I like the riff, I like when James comes in, but its just the rambling from Lou that gets to me. It also got a little bit repetitive. I wouldn't be surprised if "I AM THE TABLE" became a joke around the internet. The production was a little shitty, but I really liked the solo at the end. My overall grade is alright, but disappointing. I do hope the rest of the album won't be like this, and I am more excited for Megadeth's TH1RT3EN.
