So I have always wanted to join a big city Fire Department. And I plan on joining either LAFD or FDNY.  I just don't know which one! HELP!

well there both about the same, big city, lots of stations etc the only difference i knw of is that lafd pay between $53,000 and $74,000 to recruits and fdny pays only $27,000 so for that obvious reason im joining the lafd

Either one is wack! Much respect for FDNY but the pay is shit! and LA. City? well do the math! You are treated like a probationary piece of shit even after 9 years on the job and off probation, also you are still on the ambulance after 9 years! Come to L.A County!
