This is an utterly charming film. It holds up remarkably well. Everybody is wonderful, and Elizabeth, only sixteen, really began her career as a great beauty with this one. I loved this movie when I was a kid. Now, in my mid-fifties, it still gives me that rush of uncomplicated pleasure and sentiment..and well, entertainment!

@dernieremode Yes Liz was born with a genetic defect of double eyelashes. It's extremely rare but makes for beautiful eyes. :)

God doesn't give those to everyone, but he gave them to Liz Taylor. :)
