Anyone else notice when he said "I could've been a contender," He was looking off-screen? He was famous for never memorizing his lines :D. RIP Marlon Brando.
it was a screen test for "Rebel Without Cause" it never took off the ground though, but there is the famous "Rebel Without A Cause" which James Dean starred in
I, TOO, believe Marlon Brando to be one of the greatest actors of ALL time.... Your montage is BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU for putting it together---it is truly mesmerizing with the "softness" of the music.
The great Marlon Brando supported the idea of a jewish state following WWII when he acted in 'A Flag Is Born' but he naively didn't realize the jews would set out to totally dispossess the Palestinians. Brando devoted himself so earnestly to the cause of the American Indians only to watch the slimeball jews do the same thing to Palestinians. Later in life MB came to realize jews for what they are and learned thru his CIA connections that the Holocaust tales were tremendously exaggerated.
Jack Nicholson said it best about why actors never debate who is the greatest of all time like athletes or others do. Because, he said, everyone with a brain already knows that it's Marlon end of discussion. This world would immeasurably diminished if there were no Brando around to re-shape it in his own image one movie screen at a time ever since the mid to late 1940s. 250 years from now the only writers remembered will be Shakespeare and Goethe and the only actor Brando.
No, it's not. There were a TON of films he did between Godfather and Guys and Dolls. Guys and Dolls was done in 1956 and Godfather was the early '70s. He did movies between that time. The don't come to mind at the moment but, believe me, he did!
Reflections in a Golden Eye,One Eyed jacks,Viva Zapato with Ilia Kazan.(hmm maybe this was earlier ahve to check)Last Tango in Paris,..The Young LIons was Aerlier and so was Mark Anthony..I have seent hem all. Widh I could have seen him live in Williams play wehn he was young. He was the best!!
Al P. said something "what are we gonna do now without Marlon?".One of the greatest actor of all the time is gone, the only 2 great legends (De niro and PAcino) are gonna join him later. that day, I'm gonna feel "alone" when it comes to movies.
The great MB supported finding Jews a home after WWII but he didn't realize they would completely dispossess the Palestinians. Then in supporting Native Indians he learned how Jews were behind the whole genocide of several tribes. When he appeared in 'Columbus' they promised to tell the real story of how America began when the Jews were kicked out of Spain in 1492 but they backstabbed him. MB knew the Jews for what they truly are and they in turn did many things thru the media to damage him.
Brando was a one-time human phenomenon whose like will never be seen again on Earth. Rarely do you ever see in human form a reason to regard life as worthwhile but Brando really was that. I wouldn't have missed him for the world.
Rebel was cast to the right guy. That screen test with Brando was way over the top. Brando looked too old to play a high-school kid. The studio's wait to make the movie was worth it. Brando always overacted anyways. Dean rules!!!
thank you for your kind comment, and i just watched your stewart tribute, it wasn't bad at all. i think though that adding some background music and shortening up the clips a bit would make it stronger.
Ojalá la repongan!! Yo no he tenido el placer de escucharle cantar. Qué suerte!! ¿"Woman in love"?
Unforgettable. Such a talent. People will always think about him as one of the greatest actors ever seen on stage and screen.

If another documentary should be made on Marlon Brando, I think it should be titled, "Marlon Brando: The Quintessential Versatile Actor."

the music is the theme from the song "Unchained Melody" ...
which for over 50yrs remains at the top of the
American Song Book ...
it is ironic you chose this theme for your memorial ...
bittersweet - timeless - elegiac - and yet noble
a melody, like Brando, that will live forever
google unchained melody to read how it was born
