what is their mode of motility? and what type of chemotaxis is being observed here, relative to whatever the substance being introduced to the environment
Ooh, I wish I had more Neutrophils! I have mild Neutropenia (1.3) so don't have too many of these destroyers. Sore throats and skin problems, etc - what a pain!
By chance. As Neuroelectronic says, over thousand of millions of years.
Evolution is one of the simplest concepts in all science, things mutate slightly, those that survive get to pass the mutations that helped them survive on. If you were born without neutrophils, you'd probably die, so that trait couldn't be passed on to others, see?
I wasn't going to claim you were anything 'til you said you were open minded, and a thinker.
That is exactly the sort of leap too many people make, misunderstanding evolution by a long shot. You're missing out big time.
We did not evolve from apes. Both species evolved from a common ancestor, but our lineages split many, many thousands of years ago. We have fewer chromasomes than some insects. Genes don't work how we used to think, and still often teach!
yes your right but im not religios im only saying its a theory.
im just skeptic about evolution because its such a big step from making a theory and presenting something as fact.
evolution theory is being learned at school today and presented as fact.
people dont realize anymore that its only a theory.
in my mind everything is possible; maybe there is really a god, maybe he really tested our fate with dinosaur bones, maybe whe are genetic modified by an alien race.......
"im just skeptic about evolution because its such a big step from making a theory and presenting something as fact."
Someone fell asleep during science class. You're confusing the term 'theory' with 'hypotheses.' A theory is something that unifies & explains a series of established facts. Evolution is fact in that it occurs, and we use the theory to explain how it occurs.
The sad fact is that creationists like you fail to comprehend science at even the most basic level.
It's true that evolution is a theory just as much as god or other things are. But the basis of them is evidence and probability. Me personally, I am not religious, I believe in evolution. And it's not cos I think God doesn't exist and the idea of God is stupid or anything, it's just cos evolution holds so much more evidence and support, and fits together so well. Hence it is more satisfying to look at a logical progression of life on earth that makes sense and has evidence,
rather than "some all powerful being just created the world and set up everything, and that's it". Yeah true maybe that's what happened, no one will ever know unless someone from all those years ago is kind enough to travel through time and give us a video tape of everything, but the whole thing is ENTIRELY personal, so there is no point in arguing about it or fueling conversations which just lead to controversy, cos the real answer is no one will know so there is no point fighting about it
@Ultrasecond i disagree, while i dont support creationalism,i dont support assholistic science either. thousands of "intelectuals" once thought the earth was flat and rocks dont fall from the sky. just because someone has an idea how something works doesnt mean thier any better or less than anyone else or know more. just because an idea is popular doesnt mean its correct or any less correct. a theory is an idea established until disproven.
@Ultrasecond the only difference between you, me and albert einstein is luck and popularism. its amazing how many asshole intellectuals impede progress and make science stand still online.
@Ultrasecond just because you have an idea and can get a consensus doesnt mean your any more right than anyone else. ideas like slavery and the nazi party were once popular ideas, doesnt mean they were right.
I think you're misunderstanding. It seems like he/she's mainly concentrated on the fact vs theory thing. The problem with the way science is being taught today is that it is presented too similarly to history. Theories cannot be proven, and theories are not facts. Nothing can be proven in science, it can only be supported. I think it is important that any person, creationist or evolutionist or neither, recognizes that theories should not be presented as facts.
People who undermine religion are doing exactly the same thing they don't like religionists to do: consider other people's belief inferior than yours.
Ultrasecond, the sad fact is that you fail to comprehend religion and other people's views at even the most basic level. Open your eyes, mate.
@luck2308 ... As a man of religion and science, I see this all the time. I can't speak for ultrasecond's situation, but in my observations, scientists tend to understand religion at a deeper level than religionists understand science.
Order does not come from disorder and evolution violates the Law of Biogensis - Life comes from Life. If any scientist can produce Life from non-life I am intersested otherwise Evolution remains a theory. Maybe you should read Darwin talking about the need for plants as well as animals to have evolved and he could not find evidence for plant evolution.
Evolution by natural selection is not a process which brings rise to life, but one which simply changes its nature (often making it more complex - but only where this is advantageous). There are many theories as to the origins of life, but these remain only as theories while the evidence for evolution by natural selection is irrefutable.
@veryfuck I know I'm kind of jumping on the "get veryfuck" band wagon here, but seriously. Open minded is one thing, empty headed is another. All it takes is 5 minutes worth of studying horizontal gene transfer between 2 bacteria to know evolution is a fact. Ok, the exact mechanisms in play are not 100% set in stone, but the mechanism of evolution and the concept of evolution are two very different things.
I realise it's pointless trying to asuage your beliefs here, but I would say to go and read things like the Blind Watchmaker, Jared Diamond's books, and credible sources.
Think rationally about it, it really is all very simple, & there is countless evidence to support natural selection.
Evolution takes place all around us - peppered moth. Natural selection in play in front of us. One moth mutates to be black, so survives in post industrial areas (sooty), can reproduce, so takes over!
SO COOL. SCIENCE AND NERDS ARE BEST.

evolution theory is religion. science is based on facts and evidence.
there is no evidence and there are no samples today of evolution taking place.
whe are not from apes because of our similiar dna thats the biggest bullshit, whe have less chromosomes then apes.
its just a theory and people should handle it like that, and dont present it as fact and truth because like in the school-books.

second- you call it a theory and make a difference between theory and hypothese.
Thats exactly the difference between us; the difference between what "we" call science and what you call science.

i would suggest you start with not making the wrong assumptions and then go back to school and learn to read before making stupid useless comments

If you're open minded you should educate yourself more before you make a fool of yourself by saying ignorant things.
I took a look on your profile and I see that you hate jews, racist people are very close minded.
What? You hate them because they are succesful and you're a lowlife scumbag? lol
Funny that you see yourself as an open minded person.

nou dan heb je niet goed gekeken, anders had je op zn minst wel gezien dat ik nederlands was.
btw im not sure where on my profile i say i hate jews, but if i would hate hew then that wouldnt make me a rascist.
actually the opposite, i hate jews because i hate rascists.
jews believe that they are gods chosen people and that they are supreme to other people races (gentiles)
you better educate yourself and read some pasages from the talmud and the protocols of zion before name calling me.
