本家本元の都はるみさんが、この楽曲を、ヒットする前に、確か紅­白歌合戦の時

歌って、それがその次の年レコード大賞に輝いたことを思い出しま­した。

そして２年連続で紅白歌合戦で「北の宿から」が歌われたような記­憶があります。

それにしても、テレサの北の宿からも大変に感動的です。

Dear Makim,

I quite agree with you that most of ENKA songs that Teresa sings are sad. This is not because Japanese people like sad songs, but because the lyricists incidentally selected such sad love stories for her. As you already know well, ENKA is Japanese ballad covering a broad range including both joy and sorrow.

Truly touching enka and beautiful winterly video. Excellent job! Many thanks for sharing this, Masami-san. Somehow this video and the song lyrics reminds me of the stories written by Kawabata Yasunari (my favorite writer). I mean this scene: someone is sitting alone at the northern inn, his/her heart is empty, and it's snowing outside... Aa, such a bittersweet athmosphere! Higoto samusa ga tsunorimasu... hai!
