@Kawasakiforlife7 I own both, and even like my 2 stroke more for jumping but that argument is weak a best.  AMA riders cant keep the 2 strokes in the power band all the time, the 4 stroke is far better in everything except size to power ratio. It use to be weight too but the new thumpers are just as lite now.( I dont have a new thumper or Id prolly like it more then my 2banger)

@brian4480 wrong, wrong, and wrong. AMA riders CAN keep them in power band, watch a video of them. They keep two strokes in power band constantly. And the four stroke has nothing going for it except low end (which pros don't need) and you can do more to them. And the new 4 strokes 250 weighs at least 25 pounds more than the new 2 stroke 250s. I forget the actually number, a little more than 25 I believe

A 2011 rm250 weighs 230 lbs...a 2011rmz250 weighs 230lbs...a 2011 rmz450 weighs 240lbs. You mean to tell me that 10 pounds is a huge difference to the average rider? I was saying thumpers are lite like 2 strokes now compared to how it used to be. My yz 426 weighs a metric ton, so new ones are on par now.
