When I was young, nobody in my family rode dirt bikes either. Luckily I had some friends who rode. I was over their house every day in the summer riding dirt bikes! When I finally moved out on my own, one of the first things I did was buy myself a new dirt bike!

I found the 10" wheel bikes too small & too twitchy unless your on a super small track. I prefer the larger 'KLX110' size bikes (12"/14" wheels). They are a little bigger & they have a longer wheelbase. And they are easier to ride fast!

My utimate choice would be a CRF150R but that's another story!

A 'pit bike' is traditionally a Honda XR/CRF50/70 or a Kawasaki KLX110. The stock bikes are pretty slow but still fun to rip around on & race each other. We modify ours in almost every way so we can go faster! Beef up the motors, handlebars, foot pegs, every part! The bikes in this video are mostly KLX110's with misc. mods.

The 'Suzuki' pit bike was called a DRZ110. They only made them for a few years. They were the exact same bike as a Kawasaki KLX110 but they have yellow plastic & suzuki decals on them. You might be able to find one on eBay or at a local garage sale, flea market, newspaper ad, etc.
