It was restricted, plain and simply, because it can be used as a precursor in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

um no it isnt.. its never been illegal. it was restricted and monitored between 1997 - 2004 but since 2005 its perfectly available with some provisos.and ephedrine does not cause death the very few people who died of heatstroke(through overdoing exercise with no hydration)...

Your wrong Sushi.. Ephidrine only caused death when people over dosed on it, and more people have died over a asprin over dose. Booze can cause death, and does cause more death than Ephidrine ever did, and so does tobbacco. The fact is this.. Ephidrine worked, and rich people want to stay rich, and want people to pay high prices for there so called professional programs which are gay.
